Just finished it myself. Wow. A healthy dose of action, intrigue and setup for what comes next.

I'd love to see what Megatron's reaction is to Prime's machinations.

 

Best issue of this title I've read in a while, excellent. Gotta love those moral quandaries in many shades of grey. Shame it seems to spoil SOTW a little:

Oh this going to be a great arc. Lots of moral debates here, while Optimus inadvertently weakens Earth because of their fighting, Galvatron swoops in for the kill.

But I wonder what Soundwave's plan is in this?

Prime's dream/vision was quite cool. Notice the symbol ship in the background of the white house panel? I'm thinking that those creepy dudes from MTME #46 are going to end up on earth and must be involved in the future headmaster malarky.

Speaking of which, what are the odds the reason Galvatron becomes a headmaster is become prime actually rips it off and parades it around on a stick. Then Blackrock becomes his new head?

 

It would provide a good reason for why Galvy would become a headmaster with the angst that would result in.

 

I can't see Blackrock being Galvatron's head master. There was a hint of Unicron there if I didn't misread it

 

I think, if Galvatron were to be a Headmaster, he should have been one since the beginning. Kind of like how some of the people who protest against a group of people, idea, or concept, are actually a part of those people or concepts.
And Blackrock would be the last person Galvatron would even allow to pilot his body.

That was cool! I even read the text from Barber at the end! Cool insights. Can't wait for MTMTE #50. Hope it's similarily cool. But wasn't there an error with Sideswipe's display? He seemed sort of fine compared to his appearance in the last issue. Wasn't he more of only a skeleton in last issue and got blasted close up in the head?

 

Blackrock would pilot Galvatron's body 'cause the spark wouldn't home.

I mean, Blackrock has functioning, sparkless, combining conehead clones. It's not a stretch to say he could fix up a dead Cybertronian to use as a giant mech suit.

 

A really good issue, greatly enjoyed it. I love how Soundwave reminds me so much of a similarly well meaning real-life pal who manages to find the worst possible take on any act of intervention. Galvatron remains a tremendous jerk of the most entertaining order, Needlenose's Michael Bluth moment was great, and I think Thundercracker just about summed up what most of the rest of us all think about all this stuff now. <3 Thundercracker.

 

As sad as I am to see the Cosmos/Soundwave power hour over (for now at least), I really did enjoy that moment of Cosmos stepping up to help the Autobots. It's just too bad we didn't get a reunion between him and D0C yet. =( And even if it's just because of toys, Mindwipe getting this much of the limelight is really cool. He gets to be part of Galvatron's inner circle! (even if it looks like Galvatron's group is literally just him, Skywarp, and Mindwipe now... I couldn't tell if Blitzwing and Astrotrain were teleported as well or not)

Was also not expecting the Dark Cybertron prophecy to come back... not at all.

 

I agree, he wouldn't allow it. But Blackrock might not ask permission...
