Your right rewards money.. Which i feel like is still lame.

 

Yeah, they didn’t give any warnings about rewards money before it stopped. I had $10 and used it earlier in month when I found out that TRU had strong possibility of liquidating. But TRU can’t do that with giftcards - not while the company will still be open until mid-May. Consumers had to pay cash for gift cards since you can’t buy a gift card with other gift cards or credit cards.

 

I guess I got lucky and used my rewards points just in time.

 

Yeah i had about 40 and a 10 dollar off coupon that i used last week, glad i did or i would have been really upset. Wonder if i can use it online.

 

Some liquidation sale. The TRU we have are only marking stuff down 10%. They are not giving stuff away that's for sure.

 

10% OFF at tru is still more than everywhere else. lol

 

The whole point of a liquidation sale is to make as much money as possible for the bank to pay off creditors...... the discounts will gradually go up every week. The TRU near me that started their liquidation last month and will be closing April 15th is currently at 50% off entire store. However, the TRU next to my house that started their liquidation March 23rd is also only at 10% off.

 

One of my local TRU was one of the stores that was announced as closing before the whole bankruptcy news. I stopped by there on Saturday and they had a sign up for 50% off TF. Of course the shelf was empty though.

 

Same as the stores in GA. 50% everything but zero Transformers left in stock. I feel lucky that I got my TLK Cybertron for 40% off. TRU had 4 in stock and it was gone by the end of the week. I always wanted TLK Cybertron but not for retail price of $150.

 

Since Toys R Us is liquidating it’s inventory, would it be possible to find upcoming transformers toys there before the street date if there is one? Because people have been finding the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom toys at Toys R Us in the United States even though the official street date is April 16th. So in other words, with that in mind, do you think that we will start seeing the rest of Wave 1 studio series earlier than expected?

 

If at all, only certain regions/stores. I doubt Hasbro sent them enmasse to the stores or their distros. Only US sightings have been HTS and Meijer in the Midwest. (Deluxe and Voyager, respectively.)

I went to the tru that was announced to close in the first batch on Friday everything was 60-50% off. The only transformer www cybertron. I went ahead and grabbed him.

I hate to see the True heroes go away and might try to get a couple sets we are missing before the " whole shithouse goes down in flames" as Jim Morrison use to say

 

I mean, that was the Thundercracker figure that was popping up here and there.

But the figures have to be in distribution in order for TRU to get them. They're likely not ordering any new stock so I wouldn't expect anything beyond PotP Wave 2 to show up.

 

I wonder if all those year or so's worth of Thundercrackers will show up like at Ross or TJ Maxx or something

 

Yeah, one of the TRU had like a dozen of Infernocus before the bankruptcy announcement. I got the last one they had at 40% off. I now have 2 Infernocus. Will display one combine and one as individual bots.

 

Whelp no need to watch this thread for any more updates...if anything we can talk about how tru was good and bad...and if we miss it or not...

 

Well, crud. There goes my hopes for a SS Thundercracker at retail. If anyone wants to hook me up at cost+shipping+like, 5 bucks, you'd be my best friend forever.
