I dearly wish I had been able to swing that Unicron. I am going to be sad about that for the remainder of my life.

*takes huge huff of copium* actually Haslab Unicron doesn\'t even look that good. It\'s not cool to be the biggest Transformer ever. I decided myself not to get in on the campaign. It had nothing to do with me not being able to afford it.

Unicron of course, the only transformer toy that can make grown men really experience being a kid again

    and unquestionably generates instant envy

Unicron getting nearly everyone's top pick is a preview of what's going to happen this winter if Saber hits their shipping estimate.

Missing out on Unicron has actually made me extremely grateful to have gotten in on Victory StarSaber. December 2022 is going to be a magical time when the Haslab VS'ers start shipping out!:D

Unicron was too expensive and kibbly, Hot Rod was good but definitely should have been a deluxe price. So both get big "eh"s from me, not even close to the top of the year for me. And I'm not a negative Nancy, there were TONS of good toys this year, but I'm surprised particularly Hot Rod was on so many lists. Unicron I guess I could see just for the shelf presence.

They never do bootlegs or KOs, but they’ll do awesome 3P/unlicensed ones in a separate list. I don’t see a reason to ever do “bootleg of the year”…

I had no interest in Unicron, especially at that price point. Gen Selects Galvatron is my top pick this year.

I didn’t get Unicron as well. He wouldn’t have fit in my display case. I have no regrets.

I wasn’t even collecting when Unicron was being bid on, so definitely missed out and I’ll admit I am a bit jelly about those who got him (enjoy that ego stroke, you Unicron holders), but it doesn’t keep me up at night. If I ever see one under $1k, I’ll probably bite. It not, will wait to see if Hasbro ever does a different one or get a good 3rd party one if they don’t and I’ll be content. However, I’ll never miss another TF Haslab and can’t wait until December this year.

    Best bots of the year?

    1) Rodimus Prime
    2) Gen Selects Galvatron
    3) Ark (I know, I know, but I like it!)

Regardless of your personal picks (ain’t no two of us the same here), we can all admit that we’re living in a TF golden age right now. Keep the good times coming!

We have a proverb in Spain, 'ande o no ande, caballo grande' (whether it walks or not, choose the big horse). It's used to criticize going for the bigger, more expensive option, although not necessarily the best.

In my opinion, Haslab Unicron is our epitome of this saying.

Honestly, i feel like 86 Hotrod is kinda overated because of how lifelessly G1 its is. Oh yeah and then theres those terrible \"butterfly joint\". Its is an overall good figure but i feel like everyone treats it like an amazing figure like theres no flaw because its G1. But even if you disagree with me lets be honest, theres not nearly enough cyclonus or grimlock here.

I’ll cast Airazor for best deluxe of the year.

Best Voyager goes to Optimus Primal

Best Leader goes to kingdom beast Megatron.

Best Overall Figure is Rodimus Prime because he has the touch.
