Haro has a new toy... and now the answer to the question has finally been answered. What really killed the dinosaurs. I hadn't even pulled the tag off by the time she jumped for it. The funny thing is I said "Go for the throat." and she listened!
The prehistoric world was bustling with life. Animals eating, plants growing towards the sun, monsters swimming below the ancient seas. When suddenly, a dark shadow blotted out the sun, and a previously unknown threat appeared. The Cosmic Terror Terrier.
Here's a current pic of my Cane Corso Apollo. He'll be two on January 1st and currently weighs in at 150. His dad was 160 so he may still have room to fill out.
This is how Phoebe watches me eat my breakfast. I like how she plays it off by looking away when I catch her staring.
Four and a half months old! Haro is busily growing and losing her puppy teeth, and growing them back in an instant. Getting bigger, and still just as sharp as her teeth and claws. New toys include the ugliest Mad Cow anybody's ever seen... She won't rest until she tears off its face. The Wheel! A toy by "Chunkit!" brand, I bought her something to chase, grab, and retrieve in the yard. It took a week or two for her to get tall enough to run without tripping through it. Of course by "retrieve," she means grab it run at me and then swerve to go to her favorite gnawing zone. Night time games in the living room always end in a staredown. Her favorite toy is still the Ball! from my sister in Dunwoody. Her dogs hated it, but Haro's made her mark on it. every. single. mark. I'm grateful her adult incisors aren't so sharp.
Five months old! Can't miss the adult dog in the puppy body. She's still happy to have her puppy sleeping habit. She just burrows her way into a blanket until she's comfy. Fun with teething. She's losing puppy teeth pretty quickly now. I found one on the bed the other day that she didn't swallow. Meanwhile, the funny part is seeing how the adult teeth grow in and displace the baby teeth. For one day she had a row of canine fangs. *Lower right, it fell out later that night.* Sadly the wheel broke a spoke, and her replacement hasn't come in the mail yet. Fortunately she still has the Ball! Still her second favorite thing to chew on (second only to my right hand). She's less skiddish around the cows now, but this was her first time getting close to my 11 year old bottle bull, her 'big brother' so to speak. and she's completely fearless around the ones in the stable.
Our two dogs summed up in 2 pics of them getting whipped cream in a cup. Arcee (yes, named after the TF), our older, more mature dog: Madigan, our 2-year-old wild-child: As Ironhide said, class dismissed.
Soon to be seven months old! Haro's favorite time of day is when she can get me to take her outside with her wheel. Most of which is spent playing tug of war against Haro in Raptor Mode, and then some actual chasing and reclaiming it. We were at my parents house last night for dinner and they had company over who really made her nervous. Haro's like "I can smell crazy. I don't want to go back inside Nana and Groc's house!" So we just played in the yard all evening until she couldn't stand up anymore. Her audience was pretty amused. I videotaped the fun part of it. I call it "Haro's Fly Wheel." Lousy camera angle is deceptive as we go around in circles. Watch her hind legs as she goes AIRBORNE.
