How is the beast head attached to the mane/eyes? Is it screwed on or glued? Trying to figure out how easy it’ll be to remove the face and paint the eyes.

if you file or cut off the fangs, his beast head immediately looks a lot better btw.

Tenseg Prime was part of the Pulse weekend sale, and I thought what the hell. Figure itself has a great deco, and I love the blocky look — will probably go back and forth between this and earthrise. Also never had figure stands before, kinda opens up a whole new world for toy pictures. Can get 4 core bots up between the two bases it comes with, that’s pretty sweet

Got it surprisingly faster here in Peru, a bit more expensive than usual but hey, I don't frikking care because this is Lio Convoy!



Again, I dig the lion mode. It has nice posability and a more cohesive look than ever. Lion face is fine really, looks better in hand than in pics. Best of all is that it can store all of his accessories in lion mode which is something kinda unique these days.



More important though, the lion mode allows for a beautiful robot mode that just looks majestic and has a lot of ports to use his guns. Also, just like the preview pics showed, you can use the guns as a jetpack (something I wish Kingdom Primal included) but more surprising is that you can put the guns on the legs to resemble the "leg nozzles" from the show. The lion claws should be a bit bigger but at least this allows for the classic leg kibble to collapse a bit better than previous releases.

Transformation is pretty fun as well, really easy to grasp and enjoyable. There are surprising touches here and there like giving the tail a detail that looks similar to the one in robot mode while the proper one goes inside the kibble, very smart choice.



Here it is with Kingdom Primal. As I said before, the ideal was that he was slightly taller than Primal but he's a bit taller than that which is still fine since it fits with his royal look.



And hey, he's slightly shorter than Kingdom Tigatron which is basically all I wanted. He's almost perfect in scale.



And since I always thought that a big sword was appropriate for him, I decided to give him the Legends Lio Convoy sword. It works pretty well but I hope someone eventually makes one that can store in lion mode.

Overall, a fantastic update for one of the best and most popular designs in Beast Wars.

 

Now I can picture him with his rotor-butt helicoptering over a jungle as CCR's "Fortunate Son" plays.

I’m wondering how easy it is to remove in case you’d want to paint the eyes or if/when a third party comes up with a replacement head.
