Where's SoundwaveDOTM? Can he tell us shit now?
small detail, if you watch the video his arm appears to have a retractable blade.
guy seems to be all about weapons.
Yeah, just not in transparent gold/amber like the toy. Unless they glow and light up like his energon-bladed swords did in the first trilogy.
The car-slicer Con(?) does have some strong resemblance to TFTM Megatron and seems about right for the Argosy truck alt mode. Really do wonder if Megs will be resurrected (yet again) and if the Galvatron rumors are true.
I'm liking Lockdown's design in both modes thus far, but would love a clearer shot of him in bot mode. The claw-prongs on his shoulders are a neat touch and do have some passing semblance to how spiky his design was in TFA/IDW. Also, green eyes (to contrast the Cons' red and the Bots' blue).... may point to Lockdown being somewhat of a wild card and not truly dedicated to the Cons' cause, just like in TFA. If I had to guess, he's pursuing his own personal interests rather than the Cons'.
I haven't read all these posts but the gunface bot being Lockdown makes sense. If the DJD knew Megaton was dead along with his minions they would send bounty hunters. Which would also explain Optimus hanging upside down in a ship. The dinobots are huge I am curious as the origin they come up with to explain them.
I love how the promo shots of Grimlock have the black and gold colour, but the final look in the movie just has him looking like a big, bland, grey pointy thing like so many other bots... I can almost hear Hasbro telling the movie people to give Grimlock some colour, and the movie people ignoring everything Hasbro has to say.
Does anybody know the character list?
With this kind of cartoony CGI, I'll probably laugh my ass off when I see Hound's face.
Yep you can see the orange brake pads of the Lamborghini on his knees too in the scene where he has Prime hanging by a leg.
thats a good catch, missed that.
Well, the first post on this thread called it a thread dump.
That pretty much sums up how I feel about the spot. My problem is that once again, it looks exactly the same as the other three movies. Exactly the same. Two shots of something that the culture would consider cool, a bunch of explosions, the same format robotic entity nonsense that has no definition and can't tell what it is, and a bunch of senseless humans that have no purpose other than to run from the bunch of explosions. It's like Bay only knows two establishing shots, and we just saw them in three other movies. I know I'm expecting too much, and I don't like being a party pooper on others impressions, but I'm just not impressed that this is so drastic a change as what had been alluded to. And if you can't show that in a 30 second preview spot, it's not going to change the movie either.
I'll still pay my ticket to support the franchise and because I do love Transformers. I just would have preferred a different directors take on this one. Bay is just stale to me.
This could be unfinished yet. But you can see the gold on him. It's there. Just very subtle.
I never bought into that theory. I mean, reformatting to a smaller truck, then upgrading his size again?
The color will be added before the film is released. Remember, in the DOTM first teaser they showed Sentinel and he was yellow. They added the red after the teaser. They also added him holding the main pillar for the final shot.
Yep. They're totally not going to modify and polish things between now and when the movie is released.
So it's clear that Lockdown is gonna be the badass of this movie
Where is the surprise Bay was gonna offer on Instagram?
Is that a Con logo in the middle of Lockdown's ship?
This movie trailer has completely FAILED at distinguishing itself from the other 3 explosion-fests. Way to change it up Bay.
Who is the 'gun face' character? Otherwise, awesome trailer! And I have to admit I'm really digging no Shia this movie. Same fun, but less "no no no no no no no no...!!!"
Surely we'll see him before the movie is released.
Separate names with a comma.
