My Wal-Mart randomly got 3 cases of Kingdom wave 1 deluxes. I'm sure they're gonna shelfwarm a bit but I'm cool with that. Gonna grab some extra Blackarachnia and Paleotrex for customs at some point lol.

 

This is the second Target that have all SS76 Thrust but no SS86 Wreck-Gar.

Awful. The BBM Seekers are not great. People are gonna be buying 2-3 of Wreck-Gar, so getting him at retail stores is gonna be a triple bitch.

 

Yes, but Wreckgar is shortpacked. So for those 6 Thrusts, they only had 3 Wreckgars.

Hasbro just love to short pack famous characters and make them harder to get, do they? I start to think they do that on purpose, because they know more fans are going to get Wreck-Gar over BB Thrust.

 

While stores tend to get typical assortments, online retailers can get entire assortments of a single figure, so it’s not like there are that many fewer Wreck-Gars in the world.


But yes, Hasbro does like to shorpack the most popular characters, though they might not always realize it.

Mostly the alt mode and a few of the parts \ engineering choices like the nose. The head sculpt is cool and the robot mode looks alright, they're not awful, just not my style. It annoys me that Blitzwing is just a regular seeker, too.

Hasbro does what they think will earn them the most business. If a character is shortpacked, that usually means they have believe t’s wavemates will sell better. From the eyes of you and me, that may seem wrong, as we know Wreckgar more then we do BB Thrust, but Hasbro has the statistics of their figures, and if they think Thrust will sell more, then he won’t be shorpacked.


There are of course many other factors, and case assortments can vary, but thats my understanding of it.

 

I see. Well I love the whole design and its my second favorite look for the Seeker body ever (with Prime being first.)

 

Wreck-gar have a major role in 86 movie while BBM Thrust only showed up for a few seconds in BB movie. Obviously Wreck-gar will always be more recognizable than BBM thrust. Unless of course Hasbro think some people will army build BBM Thrust.
