Can someone please help me understand what exactly goes on with Walmart?

So I live about 10 mins away from 4 different Walmarts. In the last few weeks I began visiting them again; after over a year of NOTHING.

Every single one I visited in the last 2 months looked exactly like above. 1 or 2, maybe 3 on the pegs.

WTF?!

Do they just NOT stock toys? Or are they selling out that quick?
Either way, it's the most depressing experience, and I just don't get what their business model is.

Walmart today: One Chromia, one Netflix Chromia, one big empty space above the sticker that says Voyagers are on discount...doubt they ever stock them before the price goes back up. Still just 2 Battle Cats and no other MotU figs.

Stopped in Walgreens because it was right next to Walmart. 4 Brunts and a Hound. I wonder if they ever clearance their toys? I could go for a few more Brunts but not for $20 each when I got most of mine for less than $10.

Local Target has Wave 9 of SS. ER wave 1 deluxes, and a bunch of siege Megatron and Thundercracker. Only leaders are Astrotrain and one Siege Shockwave. They had some MPM Starscreams that sold out quickly though.

Walmart has 2 of each of the Netflix Voyagers, as well as 2 Snapdragons and 1 ER Starscream. Some Netflix Deluxes and Cyberverse Warriors. Haven’t seen a Leader or SS there in a while.
