While the score didn't seem like Jablonsky's best, the soundtrack really felt perfect IMO. Battle Cry was used in certain scenes well and really gave a solemn tone in certain parts and an "epic" tone in others. And anyone know what the "countryish" song was that played a couple times mainly in the Texas scenes? I really liked it.
Semi-related, I gotta give props to Skrillex. I loved what he brought to the sound design. Could've done with a little more of it, even.
I agree. But I really felt jablonsky delivered some great pieces, just not as much compared to the others, but yeah, I loved the soundtrack and the way it was used, especially the final battle. Steve jablonsky's sound kicking it off and the slowed down version of battle cry to finish it.
Battle Cry was a waste, IMO. The opening melidious "Oooh'ing" was used so many times I wanted to plant my face into the seat in front of me. The good part is the heavy drum-beat chorus, which only got used in ONE scene and the credits. Lockdown has a musical accompaniment that reminded me vaguely of Shockwave's Revenge. It's how I knew Lockdown would appear.
anyone notice there was a second imagine dragons song used called All for you (watched the credits till the end where it said that) which to my knowledge hasnt been released and is also for the film. Id like to hear it again
Yep haha. I thought the theme was one of ReallySlowMotion's songs until it started playing in the actual movie
I went apeshit multiple times, including but not limited to: -lockdown in general -crosshairs "laying some hate" -hounds one bot army scene -drifts short but epic sword fighting -optimus calling upon the dinobots/ dinobots fighting Etc.
I believe the song I mentioned in the first post that I don't know the name of played. There was also some of the score.
I liked the score part where just in case Spoiler the Autobots were about to invade the KSI lab as they were walking on the roof or walkway or something to the building I liked that part of the score. I also recognized parts of Arrival to Earth during (I think) when Optimus Prime was first addressing the newly freed Dinobots
I need the score now! I loved the song that played when Lockdowns ship is first seen in Hong Kong! It was the song from the theatrical trailer, but much more epic.
I don't think there were as many tracks that "stood out" this time from Jablonsky like Autobots, Arrival to Earth, etc., but I still really liked the music. Lockdown's theme was badass. There were a few excellent emotional pieces as well. As for Battle Cry, I love the song and enjoyed hearing it in the film. And "All for You" playing at the beginning when Cade drove up was so good.
Soundtrack was 'ok' only remember Control and Battle Cry but that's because they interrupted the action ending fight with Lockdown. As for the score it was not memorable in the slightest. Arrival To Earth stands out because it was the same song again - but nothing new was interesting enough. A few reasonable bits of music I'd like to hear, but fairly disappointing.
