Love the pic of him holding the blades in his hands, though I wonder if he can actually stand up like that without support.

Those ankle joints are a bit naff-looking, but otherwise looks fantastic.

Well, the inclusion of the Voltron plaque means stateside release so there might be a slight better chance of snagging one (still gonna do the midnight thing on Sunday night though).

I can't help but remember retroblasting's review of Vehicle Voltron:

He's gonna have a rude awakening...or a good one when he sees this SOC. :)

Yup and possible preorder through Gamestop(someone here snagged a preorder for the SOC Golion reissue at GameStop weeks after the preorders sold out at the Japanese etailers).

The old Godaikin DX Dairugger was fun to combine but had fragile chrome pieces(like the rotor blades). Hopefully the SOC is just as fun to combine but nearly indestructible. Hoping the ankle tilt utilizes ratchet joints instead of diecast ball joints. I've almost lost all faith in Bandai using diecast balljoints on their other Chogokin lines outside of SOC.

This might've been asked before, but do preorders go up on BBTS the same time as everywhere else?

For Lion Voltron, no. Between BBTS, eknight, Toy Dojo, it was all within about a few days of each other.

Retroblasting has a ton of interesting videos and he certainly seems to be very knowledgeable and passionate about 80s stuff and Voltron in particular. However, somebody really should tell the guy that toys are supposed to be fun, and that being salty and critical of everything isn't really the best way to enjoy them.

I mean, if this guy comes anywhere near the quality of the SOC Lion Voltron, then I expect it to sell like gangbusters and be a huge boon to the brand overall, possibly finally cementing Vehicle Voltron as an equal of Lion in the eyes of at least some fans.

I'm still not too convince about this GX-88. Bandai only shown us only 1 official action pose of Dairugger. The rest of the other images are all in vehicle mode. They usually offer photos of at least 3 or 4 action poses that the robot can perform. Just wondering what they are hiding or holding back with Dairugger. Because vehicle mode just makes great hotwheels desk toys.... hmmm...

Who cares?! PO now and ask questions later!!!

    LOL j/k

Looks like limited articulation, though they might have hidden double jointed elbows and or knees? Being a combiner woth this many vehicles, I'm curious as to how everything comes together overall.

I've always wanted a Dairuger in my collection. Question is if I can afford to lose sleep to try and get this on PO night. I hate Bandai and their POs and shafting collectors and retailers with limited quantities.

Yeah,I guess the reason I bought the rare Power and Jet Risers from the ever-wild and rare Machine Robo Battlehackers toyline is because of its potential and they are very cool toys. A huge reason that toy's are meant to be fun in a way.

I agree on the whole being salty on toys thing. Michael does look like he lost some sleep from the looks of his eyes. XD He did make a video of SOC Lion Voltron. Then again,he is speaking to viewers whom some or most would find the quality and how much they stack up to their expectations and standards of what toy is. Or maybe that's just me. >_<

Well, tonight ended up being a massacre. Got far enough into one attempted order to trigger a fraud alert check from my cc company and STILL was cart-jacked.

Here's to hoping that he'll be easier to nab domestically.....
