Glorious. Another fantastic looking release. Looks like Diamos might have some competition coming his way.

 

Is it just me or does the head crest look off? Like kind of chunky and overly thick?

 

So I got lucky on the ebay lottery and snagged a SRC Shin Getter-1 for 55 Canadian shipped. Figure still looks brand new and all the joints are still tight.

 

Looks good, but where's my Combattra at? And Ideon was also shown a while back too. I want both of those badly.

Gunbuster! Articulation is a bit limited, but still fun to mess with. Might actually look into the SRC Gunbuster once my wallet recovers a bit. LOL

Did the toy source ever have Voltron for pre-order? I don't recall seeing it or anyone post about it. But the website says PO are sold out.

 

I don't think anybody saw it go up and when it was first posted/mentioned, it was already 'sold out' in the Voltron thread.

 

Yeah that's what I thought. I never actually clicked into the link until earlier tonight. I always thought it was the original listing from years ago. But today I noticed the listing has the August 2019 release date. Thought maybe I missed something....

 

Be warned, the SRC Gunbuster is not one of the high points of the SRC line. In fact it is closer to the bottom then the top. It has great articulation. Up there with the SRC Gurren Lagan, and the basic bot is fine if a kind of ugly color. but those electrode effect bits are a bit of a nightmare. Getting them on is nearly impossible and getting them to stay on is worse. The accesory set with the cape and extra bits might help, but i've never managed to hunt one of those down.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at it for the articulation. I can do without the accessories tbh (I rarely use accessories).

 

You will most likely be pleased with it. I thought it was one of the better SRCs myself. Solid, fun to pose. I never touched the accessories. As far as I’m concerned accessories don’t even factor in to how much I like or dislike a figure. Most of the time I view excessive accessories more as burden than anything. I kind of wish the massive array of accessories that come with Bandai figures were always sold separately.

 

Damn it. That was Plan B. Uhg. I'm hoping I don't have to do the overseas ebay gamble. Keeping my fingers crossed that more supply shows up at a domestic storefront.

 

Ok so old to you guys but grail to me, I finally scored the GX-43 Daimos and it's the last older SoC I personally needed so it feels like the end of a journey.

 

I want a “toy color” so damn bad...

 

I'm more than fine with this.

Yep, I’ve been pining for a Daimos renewal in toy colors for years. Especially since my original broke and I’m not spending aftermarket prices on a new one.
