That's exactly what I want to do. Kind of a "museum" motif for that section of the collection. The only Dan product I'm not open to getting is the SHE because it's SHE

I have it's immediate predecessor. The GD-98 Mechagodzilla. You can see where they were starting to get the pieces in place for what would become SOC. Some amazing leaps. Mixed with some really strange decisions or things that just seem incredibly crude or dated by todays standards. Like one section looks amazing and incredibly well engineered. While another just has a crude ugly plastic friction joints. looking back at them you can see the evolution taking place. Those last couple of Chogokin's were order of magnitude above where the line started. But they are just starting to show some signs of what we have come to expect these days. For all its flaws in not being able to support its own weight they did nail the look and proportions or that Aquarian perfectly. Much better than they did with the SRC.

Oh in case anybody was looking for this guy. And I know he's kind of niche. HLJ has a bunch of Bandai stuff on sale until the 24th. The only Chogokin on the list is the Toy Story Buzz Lightyear Combiner "Buzz Space Ranger Robo". For $80 USD+ shipping it is a fantastic price. I have the other two Disney bots. The Wife is a Disney freak and lets those go on display in places other than my office, so I couldn't resist getting this guy to complete the set.

All available items | HobbyLink Japan

There aren't a lot of reviews out there for the Bandai Disney Chogokin's (One of these days I will sit down and take a ton of pictures of them to write them up.) They are certainly different. Very complex adult display pieces. Not a huge amount of metal. Not much articulation in any form. And a bit cluttered looking when combined. But the individual components are amazing and adorable. This goes for both the King Robo Mickey and the Star Sheriff Woody. They attract younger children's interest like nothing else in my collection, while also seeming to be more fragile than everything else. (OK I'm guessing on the fragility. I've never broken anything. But they just rely on some out there connections)

Sadly no. Dancouga was never a show or robot in my sights back then. I didn't even get the SOC when it first hit.

Honestly, the EX Gokin line is probably more deserving than any of the other "great separation" threads because of the sheer amount of releases that line has on top of still going strong.

I actually like the separate threads because it is easier to find what you're looking for without skimming through a bunch of pages of posts about a million toylines.

I thought there was an EX Gokin thread but I didn't see it in a search. It was late but I did dig up an old Gatchaman thread.

Well well well, here is a small look at SOC Baikanfu's new head and more metallic paint? The yellow is definitely gold now!

I knew the new head was coming, but the extra metallic paint caught me off guard. Elevating an already pretty good toy. Nice, very nice.

It looks like the red is more of a metallic Candy Apple Red now as well. Which would be a good match to the gold.

Yup and that headscucplt is perfect, '17 is a two Baikanfu year would have never quested it.
The weird thing is I am going to have 3 big versions of the character by December.
Now that I think about it, it's not that weird I just remembered how many Mazingers I have. And by that I mean I have no idea how many Mazingers I have.

And my latest Mandarake haul. Paik4life ruined my bank account by suggesting Mandarake. I have zero chogokin self-control....

    Please post prices.

    ------

    Ttr, glad thou got franky!

    ------

Made a deal of SOC Zambot and Voltes V renewal. I think i am officially DONE with older SOCs I want.[/QUOTE]

All the prices are quoted in Singapore dollars. Shipping not included. Honestly guys, do pm me if you are interested we can work something out. I am more keen in getting rid of the collection than anything. My MIB toys are really mint-like in condition. The main robots were taken out, combined once and then returned to the box.

    1) BIB SOC Dygenguar and Aussenseiter $350
    - one of Dygenguar's swords has a small chip. Otherwise all parts are complete and in good condition.
    2) Fewture Shin Getter $480
    - one of the wrist (left wrist) is broken. I am attempting to place a pin back onto the wrist so that it can at least hold items but will lose wrist rotation. Complete with replacement wings otherwise. All the other accessories are complete and unused.
    3) MISB SOC Dancouga $350
    4) MISB Evolution Toys Albegas $270
    5) MIB SOC Daltanius $320
    6) MIB SOC Daitarn 3 GX-53 $320
    7) MIB SOC Daioja $320
    8) MIB SOC Tobikage (all 3) $600
    9) MISB Zambot $280
