I like it and the Sentinel but for around $100 less, the SOC will do for me.

:lol  yea its like they tried hard and even with some camera trickery it still doesnt look good. Im still gonna get it cause it will match GX-70 and GX-73 but there is no way im getting rid of the Riobot.

    Yeah.

I'm still gonna get it, too, but I'm gonna try to use alot of points to hopefully bring down the po-pricing further.

Haha, you guys are tough! I thought I was a stickler on aesthetics but even after seeing comparison pics with the SOC, animation and Riobot, I still think the SOC looks really good. I don't mind if it has trouble doing one pose, especially a kneeling pose when there are unlimited amounts of other poses it can do well. The Riobot does look better overall and seems to just be a better toy...Hmmmm. Will see how it goes.

Can anyone translate what it says about "Metal Build" in the pics above? I'm assuming it probably uses a similar knee and ankle joint to Metal Build figures or something like that?

Sentinel is making a Riobot Shin Getter so we'll have at least that

    Riobot Shin Getter.jpg

It says they are using the same electroplating method they used for the gold colored frame on Metal Build Strike Freedom.

    Thanks!

Damn, Riobots and Sentinel products in general are just amazing looking. What a great line of toys!

The problem that stands out from that kneeling pose on Mazinkaiser is that it looks like it literally doesn't have any waist swivel or ab crunch which is a pretty big oversight on a higher-end 2017 piece. It's not to throw Bandai shade, but the Sentinel version pulls this off in spades, so it's something they should've figured out. It's pathetic looking and it's a shame because that sculpt is incredible.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Got Cyberbots B-Riot Green and Red in today. Haven't opened them, but fingers crossed they're as minty as the pics were before sending. That just leaves Jushin Liger, and I'm complete on Riobot, T-Rex, Metamor-Force, Armarauders, TruForce, and 2 left for 4inch-nel. Getting there.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Re; Shin Getter. Even with the Sentinel coming, I still want an SoC one as I don't mix liones for display unless it's a character display shelf (ie; Dancouga shring.) The designs are so different that they don't make sense to put next to each other for me.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lack of pics in this thread lately. Here's a contender for King of all Gokin Toys, Ultimetal Optimus with Sentinel's 4inch-nel Megaman X:

    re: GX-75 kneeling pose.

Yeah. Kaus over at RJ-forum posted this a while ago to show how it is with/against the Riobot:

    Gx-75 ... Mazinkaiser? | Robot-Japan
    [IMG]

Really reminds of my own issue with GX-52 back in the day:

The funny thing about it is that Bandai's recent HMR Dougram has a ridiculously superb articulation. I can't remember if the SRC Kaisers even have the issue at all.

So unless it just wasn't posed correctly, I'll be a little bit dismayed that this upcoming SOC GX-75 is a bit of a step-backwards in terms of a badaass kneeling-pose ability.

Bandai wants you to buy SRCs to have in crazy action poses and SOC to just stand there

It's cool. Not as big or good as I thought it would be but it's a nice piece for the price being an impulse buy. I haven't messed with it much but fighter transformation seems a bit half ass...besides the chest folding out, it's just swing the legs and arms back with no real tabbing or solid feel. I probably wouldn't have bought it if it was something I checked out more thougroughly first but it looked really cool and don't regret the buy. It will go with my old Legioss as a nice pair of blue transforming mechs and maybe have HMR Max lead them on a few special ops missions. :)

HMR Dougram on the other hand is fantastic. Most impressive toy I've opened in a while, especially for a non transforming mech.
