and that gaogaigar might be my first SOC....just UNF
Collector's wallets shall be completely destroyed in 2014.
Yeah, tell me about it.
And while you've all been drooling over a potential SoC GaoGaiGar, you missed out on this one also coming out in 2014.
Had to bite the bullet on SRC GGGG. Seems like every time I try to trim down the collection something like this has to happen. As for SoC GGG, looks like I better start saving.
Toysdaily's Facebook feed have the comparison pic between SRC GGG and SOC GGG....I am crying
I think I'm going to have to sell my entire Big Order Room set to fund that
Hot damn! Into the rubbish you go CMS GGG!
And here's the really wonderful thing to put a capper on the SoC GGG affair:
With some tweaking they might could get a GaoFighGar out in the same year.
So...SoC GGG and GFG both in the span of a few months.
*bangs head against wall*
nice! any info on release date?
Also to all super robot fanatics on here,im trying to identify that old cartoon i used to watch about a robot who would attach a train on its crotch...kinda like a space express or something.....does anyone have a clue what im talking about?
Looks tiny. SoC should be 10-12" tall
What's the difference between GGG and GFG for those who haven't watched the anime?
When did this happen?
The difference lies in the torso. GGG main body is a mecha lion, GFG main body is a futuristic space plane. Both the mecha lion and space plane are capable of transforming into bipedal bots; the lion bot is sentient, whereas the space plane is just a soulless machine.
A shame it took bandai this long to give GGG the SoC treatment; The popularity of SRC GGG probably played a key role in this decision-making.
Uh, the difference between the two is everything. It's not just a "bit of tweaking". GaoFighgar is an entirely different robot from head to toe, that only happens to look similar to the original.
Drill Gao II is more angular in appearance, and features drills with a telescoping function and counterspinning bores (the drills expand into three segments, with the central portion spinning counter to the other two). Liner Gao II is a rocket ship rather than a bullet train. Stealth Gao III streamlines the features of Stealth Gao II, taking the big engines from the latter and internalizing them, making the unit no bigger than Stealth Gao I.
Then of course, the central robot, Gaofar, is an Earth-built substitute for Gaigar.
Best thing I could come up with:
GaoFaiGar Final Fusion
Please be better than the CMs. Please be better than the CMs...
I'm okay with GGG's size, if the SRC GGGG is about 6.5 inches then SOC GGG has got to be at least 8.5-9.5inches tall. With Bandai's engineering it should kick the CM's ass across the galaxy.
ANYWAYS... I know everyone is gushing over GGG , but the prototype for the Metal Build ARX-8 from Full Metal Panic was also shown. AND man if this guy comes with this stand and all of the pilot figures...............I won't have pants left.
Not a fan of the show but damn that does look good! Im buying!
I foresee more Brave Mechas being given the SOC treatment. A Soc king J-der would be great, it would complement the SoC Iron Gear perfectly.
Well, Bandai could do a repaint for each mold; the typical gold and green versions. GGG completionist are gonna be so broke.
