Is that a tease for another Mazinger?

The released a wave of of these a few years back as The Chogokin, didn’t sell great and they are pretty easy to find. I suppose they could do another release of vintage reissues. They sure love to release Mazingers, hoping it’s something else though since this has been a kind of catch-all name since then.

I was thinking maybe an updated GA-01, but I guess that's pretty much what GX-105 is. Maybe a special edition of that or something...since 105 was pretty lacking in extras.

See! It wouldn't take much! Plus, with the re-release of the girls and his adversaries, it seems like maybe they're building up kind of a Mazingerfest or something. Maybe a stand with one of those repair bay scaffolds...lights...sounds...whole 9 yards.

If it had a decent paint job and swappable heads to match the old and later looks from the anime along with the stand I would probably buy it.

I would also go for an all new Shin Mazinger that can transform into a fist and move just as good as GX-105.

That would be cool but then it really makes sense in the SOC line? They did do the transforming Rathalos from Monster Hunter for the 40th anniversary Chogokin release. So maybe you are on to something. I hope it’s something surprising and not in the Super-Robot genre. I can’t imagine they would do another Mazinger on the heels of GX-105.

Got this guy this weekend and I’m absolutely loving it. Absolutely beautiful, especially the finish and detailing. Articulation is great, decent amount of metal. Can’t say enough good things about it. Would love to see this kind of thing continue as it’s own subline - Showa riders, some sentai, more metal heroes, etc. C1AFEE17-F3D5-4F7A-B813-2A6CD512B31C.jpeg 5BFDD113-01D4-4999-B93D-FCAFA76A5BE0.jpeg

only complaints are that I wish there were more hands and that the handlebars were handled better. Would’ve liked the finger armor to be individually painted on each hand as well, unlike how they only did it on the chop hand.

I’d be all over this if it was Figuarts scale.

I get that. I’m pretty deep into a 1/18 scale collection though due to shodo Kamen rider, acid rain, kiwami tamashii, and old joes; so I don’t mind. I generally find that I really like this scale for vehicles and building dios (though I do like that stuff at 1/12 as well)

I guess I’m collecting too many scales haha, these at least take up less space.

I agree I like that scale too. I should show you my Microman rabbit hole. I think I need to get this. Damn it.

Would love to see it. I used to have a bunch that I had collected back when I lived in Japan, but they somehow got lost unfortunately. Still have the older ones (baron karza and force commander) and probably have the Batman in a box somewhere

Not to get too off topic, but adjacent at least? Have you seen the Sci-Fi West Saga Starzinger toys? Roughly 1/18 (just under 5'') and I guess the vehicles are die-cast, and the figures have magnetic feet to pose on top of the vehicle as well.

Nice, I can’t imagine how cool living in Japan would be. Here is a stupid picture, I have a some of it on Instagram. If it’s not too much trouble can you post a shot of Gavan and a Joe?

this picture is making me drool. amazing collection. I almost wish I hadn’t seen it cause now I’m feeling the urge to start buying them and especially those bases :(  and those shoguns..

I’ll try and get some comparisons up, but i may not have immediate access to a joe, a lot of them were left at my parents during a move and I haven’t had a chance to go get them yet (they live several states away)

I hadn’t seen them, but wow. Thanks for bringing them up, these are right up my alley. They’re seemingly sold out everywhere :(  but I’m looking around for them.
