The $629 is the USA MSRP price. Was there a US Seller that was offering this for below $550 shipped?
Check a few posts up. Nate from this forum offered it at $525 shipped. I don't know who the other seller is.
Yes i got a PO from Nate for $525 shipped but i was late and missed for Brandon wong for $568 shipped. Im also confused on why the big online stores offers more than the small seller as well......
thx, I was too focus on the dx chogokin vf-1s roy. . If I have seen it, I would be very tempted to place the preorder right there and then.
perhaps one of the requirements is that the bigger retailer will need to price it at MSRP so it will be more fair to the smaller shops? .
It's not $525 but better than BBTS and EE
I was wondering when their’s would go up! Their prices are surprisingly competitive, often times.
Yeah but I think their release dates are one month more compared to BBTS.
How much? They’re gone and not showing up in their site
Yeesh... I’ve only ordered from them once, and it was an in-stock item. But, it might still show up quicker than BBTS’s $4 shipping...lol...
It was $600. And the listing was there a few minutes ago...maybe they sold out or took it down...
Im.intrigued on how fast this Voltes V sold out at 600+ but Unicron that is a more known character had to have an extention to meet the goal at 575 or so....
Same way i felt about VoltesV when they started accepting PO’s in japan. I was also intrigue that the PO didnt sold out quick as i expected. They were up for 3 days in Amiami site. I was expecting it would be as fast as the Voltron release. I guess bro it depends on the hype and popularity of the character. I my self know Unicron but i never plan to get him as part of my collection
How many units of Voltes V will be made available compared to the minimum target production of Hasbro's Unicron? I'm just assuming the total production number of Voltes V is less than 8000. Also, comparing the fandom of TF to Voltes V, I feel the TF is fractured to supporting official only, 3P only, or both. The 3P supporters are very critical of whatever Hasbro/TakaraTomy produces. There are no 3P/KOs for Voltes V so there are no other decent and cheaper alternatives. Even if there was, Bandai would probably go after their asses quick unlike Hasbro/TT. Lastly, IMO, that Unicron transformation looks garbage. Hasbro/TakaraTomy should learn not to dump most of the transforming parts on the back of the figure, in this case tons of panels on their Unicron. Compared to the smaller Zeta attempt, Zeta looks more refined.
Unicron and Voltes are not even remotely similar.
You know....I think most of you guys are right. Im not in the Unicron boat either but I needed to hear it from other people. Bigger is not better all the time I think.
Now that I got into SOC (have both Voltrons, Megazord and Drangon Ceasar) and just by unboxing and holding figures in hand you know that SOC is in another league than any Takara MP, MP 44 included that I also own.
I can think of many differences between Hasbro’s Unicron and Bandai’s DX SOC, the overarching difference is that the expected product quality is different.
Bandai’s DX SOC line has been proven to be very high quality, high end collectibles with high after release market values, there are a lot of diecast parts too.
on the other side, Hasbro’s Unicron is mostly plastic, the transformation design is poor, a 3rd party offered a cheaper but better design as an alternative so Hasbro’s Unicron’s after release market value might be low.
something just happen at BBTS Dancouga Soul of Chogokin GX-94 Black Wing Figure
WTF? Did that just get a bunch cheaper??
I guess not many people are on board with that ridiculous original pricing. A-E’s pre-order is still available now after more than a week!
This one might go even lower after the release.
at that price I PO'd.
chances are the price decreased because it's a regular release in the states. Same thing just happened to the new S.H.Monsterarts Godzilla that went up today. It went up for around $180+ but went down to $94 a couple minutes later
