    Got that covered.

These are effect parts that came Diamond Select Silver Surfer and they plug through the elbow joints easily to simulate the rocket flame effect. Sadly they only work with Great's arms. I don't have Grendizer to try them and they didn't fit Mazinger Z's arms.

I absolutely love the line. Love it, love it, love it. I love combiners but they cannot pull off poses like that. BBTS was just selling Daimos for like $80 and sold out. I missed buying a second copy but it scared me enough to pick up second copies of Zambot and Daitarn 3. I am not sure the line is selling all that well but when Combattler comes out soon I will have most of what I wanted. Combiners always get shoe-horned into being what they are and you rarely get a poseable figure like this. There has never been a Zambot that can do that. If God Mars, God Signa and both “Voltrons” get the Full Action treatment I can die happy.

They scale great with the “traditional” SOC btw.

Voltes is about the only SOC left on my list to get. I’m not going after the DX; I’d be happy with any of the GX-31 releases.

    Well. That. Took. Long enough.

It’s fun to think Bandai announced the DX Mazinger Z in the midst of the financial crisis and here were are 10 years later with Voltes V easily one of the most popular combiners in Bandai’s line-up in the midst of Covid-19. Bandai making bad situations brighter with fantastic toys. I love you Bandai.

Yeah, I'm waiting for a GX-31R. We all know it's coming...it's just a matter of when, not if.

I hope it is released this year.
I still remember when my parents gave me the original Dx for my 10th birthday. Still one of the best b-day presents I've ever received.

As it should be. I would be even happier if it was released in Godaikin toy colors.

    How about this?

Depending on the economic climate at the time, I have to believe it’s going to be north of $300 when it shows up. Maybe it’ll at least drive down prices of the older versions. I saw the 40th Ann version at a local shop recently for $425. I know that’s around the going rate for that version, but it’s just plain out of my price range, unfortunately. If I had grown up with Voltes toys/media as a kid, it would probably be in my hands right now. But as it stands, I have no nostalgia for him...I just think he’s a cool bot.

That actually looks good. I was impressed by how many features they packed into him.

Any of the DXs are a safe buy. That Combattler DX is shelf-warming like a mother-fucker. Mark my words the second it goes out of stock it’s going to jump to $7-800 and $1k within a year. Given the shelf-warming nature of Combattler DX I am concerned Bandai will short-run Voltes V like they did with the 40th and fuck us.
