Yeah, the seller had some other tasty choices but when I saw Zel and Bragg I had to nab them. Especially since Bragg was an EX set normally and blank MMS bodies would make it more expensive to try and piece together an original Bragg than her complete exclusive variant that comes with the bonus parts. Zel was essentially a proto ligh-armor as the only EX+ set and with mine I couldn't get her combined arms form to work (the ankles wouldn't plug into the gattling gun right and kept falling apart on the hinge), but the riot shield parts and sheer number of possible configurations more than makes up for not getting her 'walking arsenal' form working.

As for Fubuki and Mizuki, I had to nab the ninjas given their unusual place within the entire Busou Shinki line and while I'm a bit disappointed they weren't the absurdly hard to get originals, the Mk. IIs are excellent all the same.

I got my ready-to-ship notification for Koto’s Arnval!

Hopefully we won’t have to wait 7 more years for Strarf to come out. Until then, I guess this will have to do.

For what it's worth, saw this on youtube.

Looking like it's more a reality. Been a long time for us Shinki fans.

Takeaway from the reviews is that you'll have everything to reproduce a perfectly colored Arnval without needing to paint it if you're not the painting type. A thing to note is that YO painted in the places on his model where the screws were on the original toy so refer to the video review for a look at the uncolored kit. Also the video mentioned the leg joints at the hip as something to be careful with lest you break it. As usual, practice due diligence with fit-testing and all that good stuff.

In case anyone still follows this, Type Evil Strarf has been up for preorder across various online retailers. The sample photos look good, I'm sure she'll make a good companion to Arnval.

PS: Yes, it's Evil not Devil. Official goofup? Does anyone care? :p

I'm already considering it but the costs are really climbing. I need to ship Arnval out from HLJ this week to take advantage of the 25% off shipping deal and even THEN the total cost for her will be like, $100. Thinking about going USA Gundam Store for Strarf but same deal there, $110 for the slightly discounted pre-order, but I'd roll shipping in with some other stuff I'm looking at. Similarly expensive other stuff, unfortunately...

Finally pulled the trigger on shipping MD Arnval - absolute rip-off shipping of $31 for putting her on a boat and possibly not arriving until April. I've done this method before with my trio of Snail Shell TIWAZ Police Bois and it took about two months, but it's absurd the shipping cost THAT much. Cranked the total price of her to $100 or thereabouts, which is on par with what USA Gundam Store is asking for both on Arnval and the Strarf pre-orders, so any advantage going through HLJ is now long gone.

Should have bought it from Amazon Japan. Just placed my order for Arnval and will arrive here before next month. I also bought a few other kits to even out the shipping cost but the total for this kit will be under 10000 Yen for sure.

I'm not in any particular rush to get her, I've got three other Megami Device girls and a Frame Arms still in backlog, and then there's all the P-Bandai and of course the Koto Metal Gear SAHALENTHROPUS, and THEN there's the tank kit I've got for the local group contest in six months...

Yeah, I'm okay with the time it'll take. Cost is primarily the problem since I'd rather just get it from USA Gundam Store because the shipping this time through HLJ was on 25% discount, so it actually would be cheaper going off of how much the Strarf pre-orders are right now.

I see. I usually prefer saving money over getting the kit right away. Was planning to get Arnval later next year but your post made me curious about the total cost of the kit. A few clicks after, got myself the Arnval too. The price was too good to resist especially as a Canadian. :D

    Edit:

    Finished Chitocerium Urania today.

I like the aesthetic of this line but many small details just feel a little bit unsettling, like the fact all these figures have visible ball jointed doll style hands. This mad little princesses just feels perfect for this line.
An alternative face for the doll would have been perfect!

This is a small kit so handle with extra extra care.

What the hell is the Red Riding Hood variant with the chainguns supposed to be? The Alice variant is obviously the Queen of Hearts, but is the Red alternate supposed to be the Cheshire Cat?

Also more BLADE girls, yessssssss. While I'm disappointed we're not immediately getting Howling and Mao Chao 2.0, the new dog and cat look interesting enough.
