Pretty good article. I don't think the tabloid media fulfills any great purpose except to keep boring people informed about those with more money and less brains than them.

Plenty of "celebs" don't opt into that world, and spend their time creating valued real entertainment, such as music and film, without having to get a picture of their arse on the news-stands. Their work deserves the public's attention a bit more, I feel.
