Shapeways. There's a creator who did replacements for both sizes. They come in 3 parts, the outer "shell" and 2 inserts to fill in the tires and help secure them. Apart from lacking the "Fire Convoy" markings, the replacements blend in well.

I have been undecided on this mold for nearly 20 years now.

I love the weird asymmetrical design of Sideburn and X-Brawn but man were they a pain to transform and get to line up properly.

would love to see a modern take on them, even as retools. I managed a few customs some years ago but never got around to getting around to all the ones I had planned.

tfcc had that sideburn repaint from classics Rodimus and another blue repaint of a Rodimus would be sweet. But I think there’s room for new toppings as part of a Selects line that isn’t quite getting a mass release.

 

I share the same feelings of sideburn. Love the asymmetry and the alt mode. The actual conversion is awful.

 

Such a gorgeous bot. I only have the super version, but the OG paint job is so lovely too. If I had more shelf space I’d definitely pick one up.

Finally got the Encore God Fire Convoy set and thankfully I don't have any of the glaring QC issue. The ladder sits a little crooked which I'm going to open up and try to fix, and one of God Magnus' cannon mounts is loose because one of the electronics doesn't hold it in but otherwise an amazing set.

I also found a new ratchet set for Fire Convoy's hips to help with his posability since the default ratchets are way too split apart.

 

God Ginrai looks really good here, with the alternate wing transformation. Did it require any modding or 3rd party add-ons?

 

No, but it involves a lot of tricky rotation of various parts.

 

I found a hip ratchet set for Fire Convoy and it's a HUGE improvement to the articulation of his super mode and God Fire Convoy too. No more splits, he can actually do poses now!

It's just a couple weeks away from the 20th anniversary of RiD in the US. I haven't seen it in... well, I guess about 20 years. Anyone know if it's available to stream or buy anywhere? Feels like it's time for some burning justice.

 

Thank you mate! I remember reading it was the only Transformers series not to get a DVD/Streaming release in the US. There was a DVD box set here in the UK and you can stream all three seasons on Prime Video here, though it's quite expensive!

 

It's because unlike all the other series, it brought over by Saban, which later was purchased by Disney. In the UK it was released, but in the US nothing for it was ever released, so unless Disney decides to release it, there is no chance.

 

Ah, I didn’t realize that. So grey market imports from wherever are the only option for watching it again? Hmm.
