I think I said it before, but I love the IMAI take on the 1J head. The streamlined goggle-less look always seemed cool. Made my peace with the original look, but goggle-free is #1 to me.

Normally I only get the VF-1S but lately the 1J has been released first so I go for that out of fear there won't be anymore Valks made.

My Very First VF-1 model was the VF-1J Ichijo... - and, Appropriately, my first BANDAI DX 1/48 as well - so; I Can Relate~

I really want a VF-1D. It is quite difficult to find a figure!

I like the paintscheme, 2 seat cockpit and the double visor head. I really don’t understand why it doesn’t get more love? It is the first Veritech you see in the series and that first scene made such an impression on me as a child. Also you often get a MinMay figurine and a special hand for holding her to recreate the arguably most iconic scene in robotech/macross.

I really hope Threezero will do one too!

I completely forgot about the 1D head. Yeah that is also on my list of cool Valkyries. So maybe 1A, 1D, 1S, and then 1J. Could also toss in there the Elint and Super Ostrich.

You mentioning that the 1D in Battroid more is the reason I bought both the HMR 1D and DX 1D. It is a unique design.

    This was my first Valkyrie

They were only a couple of bucks at the time so I ended up with a bunch of these Super/Heavy Weapon kits- Hikaru 1S, Skull One and the 1D, which looked pretty bad ass (on the box artwork at least) with the 2 missile booster pods and extra armour.
All the others had the 1 missile/1 cannon thing.

I never went much on Hikaru's 1J as a kid but now I'm older I find myself having a real soft spot for it.

Yeah, a Miriya preorder would've gotten me to jump even while Rick is still pending. But another Roy, meh.

That was quick or they only had a few up again.

It was actually for most of the day I just was to busy to post it earlier.

My order still says arriving Thursday. We shall see.

My order said “arriving Thursday” yesterday and today it totally vanished from my active orders list. I had to filter my orders by year to find it, and the status says “we’ll notify you when it’s available.”
Kinda weird. I’ve had the preorder since the day it went live.

Ah, so you were secretly preordering more till they sold out. :p

They're selling it for the same price as elsewhere right?

I think it’s just Amazon’s way of saying “We have no indication from ThreeZero when this will be sent to us” which is how this release has been for a while, delay after delay on TZ’s end.

I hate that they drop it off the active order list though. Like, just move it to the bottom or something.

In the interview they say they plan on doing all sorts of different stuff from the Robotech brand. Worth a watch.

That should be in the Kaiju thread too. Going by TZ calling it "Kaiju-Dou", I expect articulation. That means not only S7, but Hiya should be on their toes now; forget about Bandai.

Awesome interview. Thanks for sharing. I’ve been looking forward to their release and am hopeful. I love Bandai’s DX but the 1/48 scale just takes up too much space guy me these days.
