Yeah, I'm not touching these until I see some reviews. And, if I get any, it will need to be somebody other than Rikaru or Roy.

Still, I gotta see it in a shop, or at a show or something. If Diamond is gonna distribute it (they pick up TZ stuff often), then I should have that chance at some local comic shop as most would put one on display.

I'm definitely willing to be a test subject for these lol. Eagerly awaiting Rick's and I'll give my thoughts here too. If they clear KC's in terms of fun and durability I will be happy.

I have five VF-1 figures...three of them are Rick's 1J, lol. I've told myself "no more Rick 1J's". Simultaneously, I don't have any of Max's, Miriya's or Ben's. I need to mix it up some more since I'm only in this for one or two more valkyries.

Sounds like you need 3 more Valkyries.

Plot twist I’ve always liked his VF-1J. I know Skull team gets all the love but his 1J is a classic. Great way to kick off any VF-1 toyline.

I agree...it's probably almost always the first one that will get released. My shelf is just starting to look kinda like a clone trooper lineup, lol. It needs more color.

I wouldn’t put it past Threezero to make a skull team VF-1J to homage the Palladium Books RPG cover, maybe with a taller “mouth” area and angular fingers.

Rickaru's 1J is the most boring of all the VF-1s to me and I usually have it armored up whenever I can (armored VF-1J is one of my all-time favorite mechs period). Either way, I had it preordered early on and look forward to checking out this new entry to the VF-1 market. I have high hopes based on ThreeZero's track record. If it's really good, I'll order the 1S and see how it goes from there.

I'm so confident based on previous Threezero releases both are not only preorder'd but paid in full on both :)

This is funny since I have the same feeling for the 1J design. I only had the chunky 1J since it was the only reissue I could find at the time. I did buy Arcadia's Miriya's 1J to get back into the Macross toy hoarding collecting. Now the two armored 1Js, but I really don't care about the design.

I actually like the 1A and then 1S head design more.

So if Threezero makes a good Valkryie, and a Ben, I'll preorder that version in a heartbeat.

Wait, wait, wait, wait! I said Rickaru's 1J was boring. Never said that about M&M 1Js! Those two are top notch! Especially with Super Parts.:D

I’m already on guinea pig duty, so no worries. The 1J is my favorite of the variants, and ThreeZero hasn’t disappointed me yet, so a preorder’s been in with BBTS since last year.

Lol I was just thinking the exact same thing:D .
Rickaru's 1j will always be the 1st thing I think of when I think of RoboCross/MacTech. No Hate towards Roy's 1s as it's iconic too. Sure it's plain (or plane.!? Sorry lol) but it's simple and that off center single red stripe on its head is just a nice touch.

Speaking of the 1J...that one from Unix Square looks almost like a Jet-karu, or a Rick-fire with the red eyes :D
