That was probably my favorite scene from Age of Extinction. I just love how excited Hound is when Optimus is coming back. Gave me chills both times I've seen it, such a well-done scene. I just wish that one or two of the old favorites from the other movies were there too (maybe even in place of one of the new guys). I'd have loved to see Sideswipe there too at least. I feel like it would've had even more meaning if someone we were familiar with along with Bumblebee was there too to greet Optimus.

 

Yeah as powerful as the scene was, ratchet and sideswipe should have been there, even if they got killed later on, the scene would have been a little more emotional for fans of the original trilogy autobots

 

That scene gives me chills, too. A lot of scenes do, in fact.

 

Like Optimus asks if anybody else made it and Sideswipe comes out supporting a wounded Ratchet as they walk.


But at the same time, I liked how Prime learned of Ratchet's death.

Hell Jolt could've even been there, I can tell you right now, a majority of viewers would just think of him as new bot due to him having so little screen time and no dialogue.

 

What gave me chills was when Optimus was hesitant to come out and blast the humans from Cades garage.

 

I just saw it for the third, time and I definitely got chills when Optimus scans his new vehicle form. Complete with the music, that was so fantastic. The scene alone pretty much encapsulates the joy of having Transformers on the big screen. LOVE.

I would have preferred Ratchet had stayed dead since the scene was really important to the tone. Sideswipe though I think should have been there. Would have made a less drastic change from the last movie cast seeing a familiar autobot. Would have given us a chance to develop Sideswipe better, preferably not killing him. At least not this early.

 

I get chills just listening to the "Autobots Reunite" song while thinking about that scene. I can still hear the cheers from opening night, that was the loudest cheering I've ever heard in a movie. When Optimus scanned and became the Western Star, when Bee came walking up, and when Prime transformed into his new robot mode, people went CRAZY.

 

That sounds awesome.   I love when the rest of the crowd gets into a scene along with you. At my showings, there was applause and cheers during the scene, but only for Bumblebee.  

 

I think they only kept Optimus and Bumblebee because those are going to be the two core members of any Autotbot cast since the 2007 movie

 

The piece of score Autobots reunite is pretty awesome also.

 

No other movie gives me chills like the Transformers series does.

The only other movie to make me feel that this year was The Raid 2.

Am i the only one here that was moved to tears during the reuniting scene? Coz yeah, for some reason, tears did flow down from my eyes during that scene.. There, i said it!

F it I enjoyed damn near that whole movie as did the theatre. I was with. My neighbor loved it and he hates...I mean hated the other three

 

That entire sequence was intense as f*ck.
