Ok...so I have used the guns in SP. They are great BTW, old school sound effects and everything. :D

But the G1 Optimus model....cannot find it anywhere. The chassis doesn't come up in MP, and there is no indication on how to use it in SP.

    Am I missing something?

From what I saw in a Dev video on Optimu's level you press Y to "change character".

Maybe you'd have to complete the campaign in order to use retro skins?

I already said, to use G1 Prime, or maybe even G2 Bruticus, you probably have to complete the campaign.

Okay, quick question from a preorder newb.

I preordered the Xbox version from Gamestop, which means I should get the Retro Pack bonuses. They were a preorder bonus for Gamestop, weren't they? And if I'm not wrong (And I'm pretty sure I'm not), is there something I should be looking for? A little slip of paper, or a notice that I actually got it? Or is it all on the actual game?

There should be a code on the receipt when you pick up your game (at least that's how it was with my last Gamestop preorder) You enter the code on the dashboard same as you would a code for MS points or Live subscription.

If it's Y on 360, it's probably Triangle on PS3, considering they're in the same position. Usually the controls correspond when they're in the same position. The only exception that leaps to mind is L/R1 and L/R2 (PS3) vs. L/RB and L/RT (360), which I've always assumed is related to standards set in the PS1 era.

This SUCKS! :banghead:  I did not Pre-Order the PS3 game because I work nights and sleep during the day. I also had to convince my wife to let me buy it. I did not get to the store yesterday and today I made it a priority to stay awake late so I can get to the EBGames Store - GameStop (Pickering Town Centre St0815, 1355 Kingston Rd. Unit 144), as the doors are opening. They guy behind the counter was not able to give me a code. The only reason I was going to buy the game now and at EBGames was because of this Free DLC.
I phoned EBGames Store - GameStop Customer service and they said that it is printed on the sales receipt and there was no way to get the code after the end of the pre-order date.
I've bought other Games on release date at this store and the code was printed on a peace of paper that was in the case.
They have now lost a sale! I'm going to now wait till it is on sale for a good price (At Any store) and buy the DLC when it comes out on the PSN Store.

For those of you wondering how to access G1 Prime in single player campaign:

Once you start the second stage, quit the game and go back to the main menu. Do NOT select continue, but rather chose Campaign. This will display the level select screen. Go to the second stage, press triangle (or Y) and bam! G1 Prime goodness.

The retro Megs-inspired gun is in the Teletraan store later in stage 2. Loving the oldschool sounds! :D

    Thanks guys.

Just had to take a nap since I've been playing since release. (long healthy campaign so far)

Perhaps it does need the campaign to be completed.....although....I find it strange that the guns are at least usable right from the get go (and yes you do access them via Teletran).

Haven't tried the "Y" button yet. But will give it a shot to see if anything happens.

Isnt it just for Escalation? I thought you'd just pick Prime there and hit whatever button you use to change skin.
