As many of you know, I tend to be critical of IDW as of late. Recently I expressed my exasperation at Cybertron appearing oblong/ ovular in an upcoming publication.

Naturally, I was shouted down, called a bigot and my post was deleted for pointing this out.

Well, check this out - someone at IDW must have listened and noticed.

It is, you can literally see it with the rest of the image. And that's not an IDW exclusive thing that happens to previews either as well.

I just checked in Photoshop, the first is literally the second image squashed. OP, you're weird.

 

Image fix is still inaccurate, Cybertron should look like a fushigi ball. We all know this.

 

Oval. Not oblong - oblong has 4 right angles in it. Another word for rectangle

Two things:
* mistakes can and do happen, and the page was likely squished due to formatting; the orb on the bottom panel is also squished in a similar way. The planet and everything was always likely to be round as it’s never depicted as anything other
* you should absolutely get creative! If you’ve got ideas you should share them with community and take onboard feedback and critique. Sharing yourself can be hard and you’ll likely make mistakes, cuz we all do, even on a professional level. Have you written/illustrated/edited/whatever before? What would you want to do? Not that you have to answer anything I’m writing but I hope you think about it and follow thru.
