***Disclaimer*** This bit of information may be bothersome to some, I apologize beforehand.

OK, so I'm playing this match of Power Struggle and my team, Deceps, was composed of 1 Scout, 1 Soldier and the rest of us Scientist.

YES, we were frequently killed but oh, my....we were ripping the Autobots apart.

flying en masse to each point, shotgunning and PBRing the hell out of targets with massed fire, setting up at least 2 turrets and healing all who were in range....

my gosh, used correctly the Scientists in 2s or 3s can be overwhelming.

so that 3 health box thing?

    it is actually a balancer.

    the moral:
Scientist should NEVER fly solo, never

    stick with your Squadron !!!!

Happy Hunting fellow Scientists.....Control the Skies, Death From Above !!!!

Very true. When I play as a jet, usually on Conquest, I'll try to stick with a tank or truck. While the enemy is laying into the more dangerous target, I'll swoop in, drop a turret, and start blasting away!

I can usually steal a kill or two this way, then start healing my teammates once the skirmish is finished.

yes that's standard for me as well....but I'm speaking on 2 or 3 of us as Scientists, staying together and attacking the same targets en masse.

firing weapons at the same target and placing multiple turrets, one healing, one shooting or both shooting etc.

....just remarking how powerful the 3 of us were.
(we all were only level 12 or 13 to boot)

Yeah I've played a game with five scientists. Throwing up sentries and healing grenades in one node was death for the opposing team, as they suddenly faced ten attackers and opponents with regenerating health. It didn't help that everyone was also either using drain or shockwave.

Anyone on PSN want to team up and use this tactic to get some XP in Conquest? Add me - s10blazed is my PSN name.

Wouldn't that just mean you're looking for an excuse to XP boost.....?

As for the scientist, even if no one else is a scientist on your team still stick close-by. It's the ultimate support class and you can rack up some serious kills and EXP if you stick with a group, even if it's just from assists. Drain and sentry is a killer combo.

Isn't playing the game at all an excuse to gain XP? I am not looking to do anything shady - I just think this could be a legit tactic to get XP quickly.

Well XP boosting is a completely different story all together, but hey whatever.

As for the tactic working on Conquest it could be a bit harder to pull off. Remember, in Power Struggle there's no set capture point. It keeps moving every minute. In Conquest you have three areas to go after, so it could be good to secure one area, but it may not work on the move. Good luck though.

I haven't specifically played Power Struggle, but I know the game type from MW2. Is it the same amount of points for capturing the objective? More/less? My thinking was that a group of fast scientists hopping back and forth (legitimately) between points would get some XP quick. More points in Conquest is more points to re-capture.

I'm willing to try each theory to compare.

I'll add you sometime this evening, I play infrequently but try to get it in either early in the day on Tuesday or Thursday, otherwise in the evenings when I can, after Family priorities taken care of.

and yes, a nice XP boost strategy

He's just looking for teammates willing to do the same tactic in a game, but it's not boosting, since they are actually playing still. I'd be like calling rushers in a RTS boosting just because they all attacked as soon as possible en masse.

Now if his team just went in there and stood and the other team waited their turn without firing, then that's a different story and would be boosting.

Ran into a team of 4 scientists as a scout. It was fun to fight them all. but once ONE of them gets a good killstreak in you're boned.

Oh look i'm taking damage. HEALTH MATRIX ONLINE. :banghead:

I'm Tied between going to level up Scientist or Leader next. once my scout hits 20 I'm turning around to get the leader to 20 (just one level) then scientist proably (14-20)

I stopped playing as Scientist after hitting 25, now I'm trying to level up my Scout (16 baby!) and then my Soldier and Leader (both at 14)

Heh, I think it would be funny to merge this thread with the "Can't get kills with scientist" thread.
