To go along with the comic thread lets do a movie poster version!

    The rules--

You can post one poster a day but can post everyday if you want.
Poster from any year. From golden age to today.
You can post animated shorts posters (mickey, popeye, bugs, roger rabbit, etc) as long as they were on the big screen.
You can post overseas movie posters.
Big screen posters only. Tv posters count if they got a big screen release. Oveseas big screen releases of tv movies count as well.
    Fathom events posters count.
    This is just for fun!

    I'll start--

    Liked this poster.

Poor Rodimus Prime doesn't even get top billing in that poster and instead gets sidelined to the background in alt mode. :D  Someone who's never watched the Transformers animated movie before would incorrectly assume that Ultra Magnus was the main character and hero of the story.

The US TF the movie poster is great and all, but the UK poster is the best poster.

I had another poster in mind but then I saw nobody else uploaded the ‘86 Movie poster and decided to capitalize on that.

I’ll upload the other one tomorrow.

My favorite is the main classic North American one, but I've always been more partial to the Japanese variant than the UK one myself...

Sure Lo Pan is a borderline offensive Fu Manchu villain stereotype but sharper eyed viewers will note that the actual hero of the story isn't the buffoonish lout Jack Burton who bumbles his way scene to scene to victory, but is really the capable Wang Chi. I really appreciated this little twist even when I was a kid and appreciate it more as an adult. That and the Three Storms were cool!

Aw man, I forgot about that one too. I like that one too. I like both this and the UK one better than the classic NA one. I like the NA one, but I just like the art of these ones a lot more. But the UK one is definitely my favorite. I think it is simply beautiful. It shows everything we can expect from the film. Optimus Prime and Megatron dueling, transformers dying, and exploding all around. A gigantic planet eating a moon. It shows everything that is in this movie, without giving anything away.

This whole thread has reminded me of how awesome movie posters used to be. When everything was all hand drawn. Now, they're just generic photo-chopped posters which look like they use a lot of templates. But, man, when they used to hand draw all these things...

Hand drawn posters are a lost art, Hollywood shamelessly abandoned in place of mostly generic posters.

At the risk of turning this into a poster discussion thread (unless that's what this really is/has become), the works of poster artist John Alvin are supremely beautiful to see.

Alvin knew how to make an incredibly epic collage of images, or alternatively to take one special moment from a film and capture it as the poster's image. It's a skill I wish I had.

A cyborg who transforms into a tank, a female scientist, a r2-d2 like robot, a ninja, and a han solo rip-off battle ninjas, cavemen and a comic booky mad scientist who wants to take over time and can shoot 80s lazars out of his hand! It's as bad and cheesy as it sounds but what a fun bad and cheesy film!
