Maybe not that well known outside of Europe, but a French sci-fi classic nontheless.
I've read this volume of Tintin so much as a kid the cover art is practically etched into my DNA.
Really enjoyed DeMatteis' take on Harry Osborn as the Green Goblin back in the day.
I was very much the generation that loved McFarlane's and Larsen's and J. Scott Campbell's "flashy" Spidey, but I've always LOVED that cover!! Man, Sal Buscema draws such a clean Spider-Man!
I also really like the big bold art of JR JR on Spider-Man!
I loved how creepy Ryan Stegman's Superior Spider-Man looked. Weird physicality, gangly limbs and tense musculature - nothing about Stegman's rendition looks relaxed, he makes Peter Parktopus look tense and always on-edge
The irregular web design on the mask is a detail I always get a kick out of.
LOL. Surprised Marvel allowed a nut-punch on the cover.
Look again. You can see the point of impact is about mid-abs. The impact lines are what throw it off.
Happy Valentine's Day.
