I walked out of it as well...

...when the movie finished.

 

He was probably hoping all that "Satan's Camaro" stuff in the first half would pay off with 'Bee mowing down Trent and his buddies while loudly playing bits of oldies tunes.

 

Can't really blame him for that one.

 

There goes that Transformers/Christine collab...

 

Hell, just remake the 2007 movie, only have Sam's car turn out to be a Decepticon instead of an Autobot. They end up bonding, Sam ends up turning into a criminal punk, and he and Mikaela (who already has a record, mind you) become like Bonnie and Clyde only with a giant-robot death car at their disposal so that nobody can actually prove it was them.  

 

It was pretty crappy. Man the bar was so low up until 2018.

Same as when people ask me "Do you often go to watch movies at the cinema alone?"
And I reply " I try to - but when I arrive there are all these other people there too!"

Which Transformers? The first one? If so, it's not different than any other big blockbuster action movie so it'd be a strange movie to be the only one he has ever walked out of. If he meant any of the sequels, then I understand.

 

Yeah, he meant 2007.

Not sure though how he could ignore such a masterfully written character such as Glen Whitmann, though.

 

Weird. I don't like the Bayverse, but I don't think the first one is that bad—at least, it's not walk-out worthy.

 

I can't wait to see people use this as justification for why the movies are bad "Well Stephen King walked out of it, so..."

 

It’s funny how people still say how bad transformers movies are but they are still talked about and do well in streaming services.

 

Yeah, like I’d understand more if it were something fundamentally messy and broken like RotF or TLK. 2007’s just your run-of-the-mill 2000s action spectacle.

 

I think it's certainly not the worse one, but it is not really all that great on its own either. He may have had an issue with its 'politics' (due to the agreement with military PR and the use of military assets on screen).

 

The Last Knight was the only Transformers movie I ever apologized to my family for taking them to see in the theater - and the IMAX no less.

 

I had to convince people to go see Bumblebee and tell them "this one is different!"
