Great actor, sad to see him go. G'Kar and Londo made B5 IMO, they stole the show from the human and Minbari characters and the Narn/Centuri conflict was far better drama then the main Shadows plot.
The evolution of their characters was so skillfully and diametrically executed. G'Kar started as a brash, headstrong warrior full of hatred, and ended as a wise, almost prophetic philosopher, whereas Londo began as a proud functionary of an old-school empire and turned into the show's most tragic figure. It was an opera, and thankfully they had a couple of excellent actors to pull it off.
It makes we wonder sometimes how Straczynski could write such great stuff for them while turning in cliched and sometimes cringe-worthy stuff for Sheridan and Delenn, sometimes within the space of a single episode.
That guy was a fantastic actor and was always fun to watch - as Tomalak and as G'kar. I never watched The Fugitive. Still, he was an amazing actor; he was always capable of portraying just the right level of attitude or emotion for his "bad guy" roles.
That sucks. I always loved him on B5, especially when it was G'Kar and Lando. They had so many great scenes together. Man I miss watching B5.I remeber watching it all the time with my dad
I never even knew that guy played Tomalak. Cancer, huh? Mm-hmm. And where was Harrison Ford that night?
