I'm a newb to this board, but a huge wrestling/transformers geek. The other thread has days where no one posts or answers questions on the board but I will check and answer questions and post news that I find daily here.

Not to run anyone down, I'm not out to make any enemies, Everyone has their opinion and everyone has a valid opinion. All wrestling fans rule!

I get picked on enough for being a wrestling fan so let's not see troling here please. (Funny, I get more razzing for being a wrestling fan than a transfan nowadays).

Well, no one is going to use this thread as opposed to the "official" one just because you don't get a reply quick enough. That's where the news goes, that's where the news will stay. Ergo:

    In before lock.

It sounds like you should just start a Wrestling blog if you're looking for a place to post news and or answer people's questions that regularly...that or use the existing thread Like Spartan Prime said.

When I was growing up, I remember watching wrestling all the time with my Grandfather. This was back in the late 80's/early 90's. Some notable wrestlers/tag teams that I remember are: The Midnight Express, Ultimate Warrior, Sting, Road Warriors, The Heart Connection, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Jake the Snake Roberts, Andre the Giant, Hulk (ofcourse), Lou Albano (sp? The "rubber band" dude), and many others that I've forgotten.

It lost it's appeal to me in the early 90's for some reason. Now it's just a joke, IMO.

Spartan Prime, no one says you have to use it at all, and if it dies it dies, no harm no foul. Just like I said. I didn't mean to offend anyone.

One topic per subject to keep the boards from getting cluttered with redundant conversation. And if it's the only wrestling thread that doesn't get locked because it's all supposed to stay there... that does make it the official wrestling thread.

Ok, I have a question. Can someone explain to me the appeal of wrestling? Serious question, not a troll. To me it just feels like a cross between a daytime soap opera, Jerry Springer and, uh, Olympic weightlifting.

Well, I too I'm a wrestling fan from watching the early matches of the late Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit in old WCW days and WWE and well back and forth is like one person said its a soap opera, but its with a ref. I've realize also that it too became a joke as well. But still I never stop watching it no matter how chessy it got, besides we do like to be entertained. as for ther future well I wouldn't be surprised if humanoid robots took over that spot doing incredible things that their human counterparts couldn't do, but I'm getting ahead of myself, so basically just sit back, relax, get some snacks or what not and start being entertained.

Don't forget gay porn. Large, muscular men, sometimes well-oiled, usually very sweaty, wearing very tight and/or revealing clothing, or very little at all, grappling with each other, bodies writhing around in a testosterone-engorged atmosphere, jockeying to be in the dominant position, and all fighting for one thing ... a big shiny belt.

I think we can keep general discussion of this topic in the current and ongoing thread, thanks. I think we can also lose some of the attitude as well.
