Did anyone get the Pollen's that were released on Saturday morning? Per usual, for anything highly sought after, I crapped out and so did a few of my friends. By chance, I did manage to find some for my wife at the local mall. I'll be saving those as a Birthday gift in a couple of weeks. Of course, they didn't have my size and apparently, they only got stock in for women's and youth.

 

Picked up these for cheap. I have multiple pairs of Questions so I figured I'd go with a colorway that I can actually wear to work and since they didn't cost an arm and a leg, it's no biggie if they get dirty.

 

I love the Question 1's. I was looking for the new Philadelphia Eagles Metallic Green, but can't find them in my size.

My wife and I went to SneakerCon this past weekend in San Jose, CA. It was INSANELY crowded and took us just about an hour just to get into the convention center. It was a definite experience because I've never gone to one and I've heard all about it, but ultimately, it was disappointing because it was like going to my local mall. VERY FEW vendors had anything in my size; I could count on one hand the amount of vendors who had anything bigger than a size 12. I was looking for several different shoes, but didn't see any of them. There was one vendor called "13 and up" and they had my size, but they didn't have anything I was interested in.

Since I've never been to one of these, I thought there would be official vendors like Nike and Adidas in attendance selling shoes, but it was all personal vendor-based with secondary market prices, which meant no good deals. Haggling and negotiating was perfectly acceptable. I saw a great deal of that.

If you were looking for anything besides J's and Yeezy's, you'd be SOL. The event should have been called Jordan Con because 99% of the event was vendors selling J's and not much else. We left after about an hour.

i got access but passed they look nice but i’m just not into dunks.

 

I'm admittedly just riding the hype train for dunks. There were a few over the last two years I was ready to pay the resale prices for, but didn't for one reason or another. I'm just glad I didn't have to do that with these.

I understand, i had to tell myself not to buy them knowing i didn't want them. but it was still a fight against the hype.

 

Still a wip but I finally did something with these cooked Son of Mars. Originally Black Cement, I picked them up a couple years ago to use the tongues for my Spizike custom (below) but decided I didn’t want to mess with it.



The nubuck is dry and cracking so I with remove the top layer, eventually. Since they are beat I didn’t go all out. Just enough to make them decent. They will event be worn when I can walk again.

Can you guys help me out? I'm wondering if this shoe is legit. I've looked at the videos comparing the real vs the fakes. It's harder to tell imo if you only have 1 pair and don't have another pair of shoes to compare.

 

sorry broski but imo im leaning towards these being reps mainly because of the "ghost stitching" holes in the blue leather are way too small compared to retail

another tell could be the blue panel on the heel, most reps have it kinda flimsy compared to retail so if it squeezes easily, then likely fake

 

Part of my job is to go through inventory that is pulled out of cars that go to auction that are seized by police. They recently had the idea (thanks to me suggesting it) of auctioning off sneakers. They used to just sell an entire bin of shoes, could be new ones in there with box for 20-30 bucks. I found some Jordan 1 white camo photon dust grey mids, brand new in the box in a bin. Those are at least worth 200 bucks. You wouldn't believe the amount of sneakers some people keep in their cars or other peoples cars. We had a guy that must've worked at foot locker cuz the uniform shirt they wear was in the car. That dude had 22 pairs of new kicks in boxes in his trunk, unlucky for him he had heroin and some fentanyl in his car too.

 

If they even let you sell these at all considering they’re likely fakes I doubt they would fetch more than like $200 or something considering with a bit of patience you can get these straight from China for like $150 ish
