If you're not married nor have children, jobs can be replaced but not your youth.

Or better yet, don't let HR catch you which means no kinky stuff at work.

Some jobs certainly are not easy to replace. I type this while searching for another job in my field yet again.

Who said anything about losing a job? I'm keeping mine, and she is keeping hers.

Man, I wanna live where you live. Wallowing in other women attracts women... Sweet. Now I just gotta get the other women to be attracted to me and I can then attract....women.... Dammit! It's a logical paradox! If I was a robot I could have been killed!

If your duties will ever overlap and one of you will ever be answerable to the other in terms of reporting or deliverables: red flag.

If you have access to any propriatary information that would give her organization any sort of competitive advantage over the other contractors, real or perceived: red flag.

If your company has policies about fraternizing in the work place: red flag.

If you will still have to work in the same office with her if things go sour and/or with the same small group of people: yellow flag.

It can work (hell, I've seen it work), but if it doesn't, shit can get extremely awkward and difficult. Worst case scenario, you could lose your job and cause significant damage to your professional reputation.

At my job there are several people who openly date or in some cases are in serious relationships. We both work retail, nothing spectacular.

    I need advice (girl)

I'm going insane over this girl, she's a co-worker. We went out 2 times. The first date was a complete mess - I took her to a very nice (and expensive) japanese restaurant, then we watched a movie. I paid for everything, and left her very uncomfortable with the situation. On our way back home, lots of awkward silent moments. Nothing happened.

The second time, we left work on a Friday and just fooled around the town. We laughed a lot, talked about a lot of things. Then we sat in a bar to have a drink, and when I asked about her love life, she got uncomfortable, but told me that she was not looking for a relationship and that her last one was pretty bad. At the subway, on our way back home, we kept talking, but nothing happened too. She was looking at my lips all the time, but since the talk about relationships was awkward, I decided not to.

I thought it was over, but she was pretty nice to me in the following week. We kept talking about going out again, which she didn't outright declined, but told me she had things to do (buying stuff for her apartment, she'll also start giving drawing lessons for a friend). So it's on the air.

Then yesterday, she had lunch with her friends, and came back with an advert of a japanese festival on Sunday. I went to her desk to chat, and she showed it to me. She said she wanted to go, and I promptly invited myself. And as I write this, she has just confirmed it for tomorrow. That's our 3rd date.

I'm a complete loser when it comes to love. Had only one girlfriend, and she wanted it so badly that I didn't have to do anything. We stayed together for 1 year. And of course, I had many crushes, and I failed miserably in all of them.

This is the first time in my life where I was able to find courage to ask out a girl that I like, also the first time I managed to do it 3 times, and I'm freaking out right now afraid of blowing everything up.

I'm thinking about a lot of stupid shit - she's just playing with me, everything is part of a big conspiracy plan to destroy me, she just invited me to end everything. The other side tells me that she may actually like me and that everything is going to be alright, but I don't know. Any advices? Tips?

Just merge this into that and done!

    Actual advice?

Take it easy man, you seem to be doing fine. Stop over analysing it and let it happen.

Also, kisses aren't an analysing 'will this moment be good or not' kinda thing, the thing with kisses is that they're passionate, spur of the moment thing. You'll know when it's OK, and when it is just go for it.

    I think.

Like tiknat said, overthinking things will help you to ruin any chances you may/may not have. Just try to find a way to relax (as much as possible) and enjoy your time out there with her. The more of a nervous wreck you are, the more she'll see it. The more "uncomfortable" it can get.

Sounds like everything's good. Next time you're together, get closer to her, touch playfully and all that. When you see her looking at your lips, go for it.

DON'T ASK. Girls hate that, such a turnoff.

Like the guys said, don't overthink it.

That other thread should be named "don't over think it" thread.

    :lol  this.

Seriously though, just to add to the broken record: don't over think it. I honestly do that way too much and it isn't healthy for your chances, any relationship you may be in, and it certainly isn't healthy for you personally. If she's not interested or whatever, you'll know it when you see it. Awkward silences are normal and can even mean a good thing. She's likely just nervous and doesn't wanna mess up.

Well, i'm finally starting to get visitation with my son! Thursday was supposed to be the temp hearing but instead an agreement was reached and me my mom and dad got to spend nearly 3 hours with the kiddo, and tomorrow me and my dad get him for 7 hours! But boy what differences a year makes, he's walking, has teeth(and knows how to chew on his papa's fingers, ouchies) loves to beat the tar outta his pops too, didn't beat his granny or pawpaw, just his papa, love him to death just as i always have, and i think he trusts my dad more then anyone in the world o_O  yet they just met for the first time, he didn't even want to go back to his mother, wanted to stay with my dad.

Still love his mother though and worry about her and know she's depressed and miserable, but she made choices to follow what her parents wanted, not me.

I did not see this reposted in the other thread so I will respond here. *cracks knuckles* Girl's perspective time.

Firstly, have the both of you established that these outings are actual "dates"? Has she actually said this to you outright? It sounds like she made quite clear that she's not looking for a relationship, so my judgement tells me that she sees this as spending time with someone she enjoys the same she would a close friend.

If you're unsure find out delicately. Be careful not to press the matter too hard or you may scare her away for good.

I'd have to disagree. In doing so you're assuming your needs trump her right to have equal control over the situation. You should be especially sensitive to this because of the fact that she's explained she's not looking for a relationship - I'm sure she has her reasons. Every person is different. And someone looking at your lips is not necessarily code for "I definitely want to kiss those". For all we know, it could mean "Oh gosh, it's so awkward looking at people in the eyes... I'll look lower instead".

I'm just saying this as a girl who has been in this situation countless times. It seems that very often the things that guys assume is going on in a girl's head is actually pretty far off. For example, I can tell you that she's not out to get you or conspiring against you like you mentioned. What reason would she have for that? Perhaps from her perspective she's just hanging out. And if she is, you probably shouldn't hold that against her seeing as she's already established where she stands relationship-wise. If so, try to respect this. Girls are not machines you can put friendship coins into until a relationship falls out.

I understand this isn't the most positive perspective, but it's a realistic one. And one that I think more guys should be aware of.
