Part 2 did air in Canada over the weekend. I had a friend that was nice enough to make an arrangement so I could see it. Unfortunately, don't have a recording.

Are you trying to watch on iphone/iPad? If so that might be your issue. A buddy of mine also had no sound in that situation

So just finished The Perfect Decepticon and it was really good actually, was nervous about Tarn and how he would be portrayed at first and while not perfect, he was still really good. If Hasbro decide that this is Tarn's origin and personality going forward then I won't have an issue with that. I felt the story was darker than a usual Cyberverse story and it helps so much here. A few shocks here and there that genuinely had me surprised and the ending was lovely and felt just right for the show. The only real negatives I have are the lack of Megatron/s. The intro showcases Megatron X but he only gets name-dropped or shown in a mosaic? flashback meanwhile the original Megatron gets no mention, so I guessed that he did die in the Season 3 finale but would have been nice to have it confirmed some way. Was great to see that Tarn is voiced by Marc Thompson (who voiced Megatron) lending to my theory that the Perfect Decepticons were clones of Megatron with some alterations (look at missiles on legs and red forearms). I noticed a few voices were different again, Grimlock and Rack 'n' Ruin were the only ones I noticed. I would have loved some new cameos, as Cyberverse loved to do, maybe Blackout or Barricade would have been nice but not an issue in the long run.

Overall, I loved Cyberverse, in some ways more than Prime and Animated. Season 1 is difficult to watch with the flashback scenes being the best parts, Season 2 was great, it showed new takes on the Decepticons and Megatron while bringing in great new versions of Cheetor, Jetfire and Sky-byte, but the second half of Season 2 fell flat for me, was really hoping for Shattered Glass since they were doing the Multiverse. Season 3 was where it really got good however, the Quintessons were a great addition and the stakes actually felt real (within the universe that is) and the Autobot/Decepticon team up was refreshing and it brought in my favourite versions of Astrotrain, Deadend and introduced new characters like Hammerbyte and Thunderhowl and having a new Suped-up Megatron felt like a great way to bookend the series if they had given it more time. Season 4 has been really good, the first special was fun and had some great easter egg characters such as Soundblaster, Afterburner, Nightbird, Bugbite and Doublecrosser, the idea of Trypticon not just beeing a beast here but instead a boss of raiders was really fun and I can only hope for a new toy of his design here (as well as the other mercenaries). And my thoughts on The Perfectv Decepticon are above. I personally think Cyberverse's greatest let-down was a lack of lore, I sit here wondering things like "What happened to the other Primes?", "Did all the Primes just look like Prima, Alpha Trion and Maccadam?" and "What happened to the Insecticons and Megatron?" While these aren't that important, it would have been nice to get some extra knowledge but this does not affect the enjoyment of the show.

I hope that the toyline continues on for a little bit longer, as stated before, I would love Cyberverse style figures of the Mercenaries as well as either a Ultimate class or Commander Class Astrotrain, a good Megatron X (preferably Voyager scale) and hopefully Tarn (again Voyager or Ultra class). Fingers crossed that the toylines and shows going forward bring some of these characters in, I think a Megatron X would be great and of course Tarn but others mentioned above such as Hammerbyte and Thunderhowl would be cool too.

Hopefully the inclusion of Tarn and the creation of Megatron X and new titans such as Iaconus is a sign that Hasbro are willing to experiment more and be more ballsy. I can only hope that whatever comes next is half as good as Cyberverse and takes ques from this and not the Netflix series.
