Yeah I loved the different scenarios. I liked that in each one the bosses were different. Leon got to fight Birkin and Claire could fight Mr. X's final form. One scenario Sherry needed the vaccine, and in another she didn't. If you grab the machine gun and the side pack in scenario A, then scenario B doesn't get anything.

This is my main gripe with the remake. The original had all these differences with scenarios, but it's lacking in the remake. Yeah RE2 is my favorite too.

 

At least you had some different bosses, but the scenarios is the only flaw in the remake. However, that doesn't make it any less of a masterpiece.

RE and side missions just sounds odd to me. I think I will ask for RE4 for my birthday though. I haven't requested a RE game for my birthday since Code Veronica.

 

I'm super excited for R4make to drop this month- the original RE4 is one of those games I can play over and over and always find something new to enjoy.

After Capcom (IMO) really dropped the ball on RE3 remake, I hoped they knew that they didn't have much room to mess up the 4 remake, since the game is lauded as one of the highest rated games of it's time (and seems to be remembered fondly even today). Not many games have tempted me to buy a PS5, but now the time has come. Lol

I saw the trailers and a bit of gameplay and I've been won over. There were a couple of times I raised my eyebrow, but I can't really judge that until I've played the game and seen how it affects the experience. I have a feeling I won't be disappointed here.

I found out Capcom did something similar for RE8. Only it wasn’t animated, they used puppets.

 

My local Walmart had copies on the shelf before the release date. It let me buy it at the register. It wasn’t locked out like normal new release stuff being sold before the date. I could even do order pickup on the app, in case the register wouldn’t let me buy it.

 

How peculiar. But yet Pokémon plush shit gets register locked.

Excited for this game. Still trying to decide if I should keep the Collector’s Edition though. It’s cool but not entirely sure if I want to drop $250 on it.

 

I’m just getting the steam version so I can play it on the steam deck, I’ve already played the original multiple times on the switch

 

Just finished Chapter 1 and I have enjoyed it so far!

The only downside is Capcom skipped RE: Code Veronica to make this......

 

Been playing for awhile, Ashley is still annoying but not as annoying about getting captured and killed in the original.

Nope! Zero references so far. The opening cut scene is a little different.
