It is definitely worth getting. Check it out.
Regarding the RE remakes do you have to play the first Resident Evil remake in order to understand the story of the Resident Evil 2 story or are both games stand alone stories which means you can play either one and not miss out on anything?
I wouldn't say it's essential, both versions of RE2 work by themselves and they tell you whatever background you need to know in the game.
RE didn't really start being a continuity heavy series until CV.
Thanks. I was thinking of trying out the Resident Evil 2 remake for the PS4 and I wanted to know if I need to play the first Resident Evil remake game first before doing so. That helped.
Capcom will show a new Resident Evil game ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2019
"The trailer will be revealed on the Capcom YouTube page at 8 a.m. PST on Sept. 9."
CAPCOM: Project Resistance
WTF Capcom! Screen Gems! Pay this woman!
I understand Screen Gems should pay but why Capcom?
Jeez... And to have that happen on such a shit movie.
Yeah that’s the kicker. That movie was a miserable chore to sit through & a constant reminder of how far down the movies had fallen.
So's I bought both Resident Evil 5 and 6 for Switch and after not playing either for over five years (despite buying both for Xbox One) I had to give it a shot after finding out they had gyroscopic aiming.
After RE7 and RE2 I returned to RE6 with a new lens, at the time it was frustrating to read comments from Capcom saying Resident Evil couldn't be Resident Evil because Call of Duty sold more, and now that the series has satisfactorily returned to it's roots I can see RE6 isn't a bad game on it's own it is just a lousy Resident Evil one. It was incredibly ambitious in that it has three campaigns full of set pieces and locations. It features the right characters for the fans but what's off putting is these characters are ducking and diving, rolling and doing stunts constantly which can take away the feeling they are real people overcoming the odds.
Resident Evil 5 is basically RE4 with a partner, unfortunately it's the weakest part of the final RE4 package: Separate Ways. I've yet to play it online but back in the day my brother and I were more inclined to play Left 4 Dead, I'll be playing it online eventually.
I do have hopes they bring gyroscopic aiming and action assist to RE4 presuming the developers are still working on it, that second feature eliminates all those naff QTE sequences that plagued RE6 and is a very welcome addition.
… I tried to play through Resident Evil 6 again recently.
It's going in the donation today.
There is 1 thing to me that hasn't been explained...
In RE3, REC:V and RE6, how the f*** does the virus penetrate the ground in cemeteries to infect long dead bodies?!?!?!
Those scenes give me chills.
But everything else in the series make me say: "bring it on, b****es!
RE3 has giant worms, so normal worms that dig and eat dead things must be able to get infected.
Hm. I forgot about the worms in RE3. I'm guessing that would explain REC:V. I've only played RE6 once in 2012 on PS3.
I just finished RE5 and heading to RE6 on Switch.
Yea, but it still never made any sense how the virus got to the corpses 6 feet in the ground.
The zombies popping out of the ground in CV wasn't nearly as bad as the ones popping out of the ground in 3.
Took a break on gaming yesterday to relax.
I jumped back after lunch today, I spent 10 minutes looking to change control style because I wanted tank control. Disappointed that I can't but I'm use to the controls now. Made it to the cathedral...
Long dead zombies...
I've gotten back into RE2 Remake as Leon after an early hiatus. I'm at the point where I'm being stalked by Mr. X. Thank goodness for the DLC pack with infinite ammo, high powered weapons like the minigun.
From what I understand, Mr. X cannot pursue you if you're in an enclosed safe/save room. Is this also true about the very top level floor of the Main Hall including the clock tower?
Any other places where Mr. X cannot get to you?
I have 1 of the 2 gears needed to unlock the electronic component that is in the clock tower.
@ChromeMagnus Really you bought that DLC to unlock everything? IMO that takes the fun outta it but hey TBF I dunno your lifestyles and if you're busy @ work or kids so I totally understand if you don't have time to play the game and earn everything.
(But it's 1 hell of a good feeling/High when you get S+ rank )
