I have a good one, especially for long time collectors.

Currently Transformers are held in a package by a plastic holder shaped to them and the kind of plastic loops that have held labels to clothes since like, forever. These things:

How the hell did it take so long to arrive at that solution?

Who remembers the wire tires of Armada / Energon / Cybertron? The ones you needed hedge clipper to cut.

And after that, paper ties. Hell remember those back brackets?

The paper ones were the best.
I am liking the new ones, though. The bubble locks the figure in and a minimal number of plastic ties are used.

I found a fix for that:

Get a X Acto knife or similiar.

    Cut some scratches.

    ??????

    Buy new toy

Repeat until your house is flooded with plastic shavings and stuff.

I remember as a kid, having the original AT-AT, that I would throw those little white poppers from the 4th of July at it. They'd leave a residue that honestly looked exactly like the battle damage paint the Siege figures have. THAT is why I have no issues with the paint apps.

As for a "rant", I really dislike transformation schemes that either barely lock shoulder panels into place (Roadbuster) or have split pelvises (Cybertron Menasor). Neither of those connections ever last longer than the standard locking points. Heck, my Roadbuster is permanently slouching and Menasor's pelvis will not lock. So frustrating.

As much as I like Roadtrap, he has the annoying whole-chest-splits-in-half-and-doesn't-stay-together-well kind of transformation scheme.

I miss the wire ties...they made it much easier to put a figure back into the box. I do wish they would do away with ties altogether, though and pack them into form-fitting trays like Black Series figures.

I'll admit I don't understand the process but painted clear plastic is such a peeve of mine. It eats up so much of the paint budget and leaves hinges and joints on clear plastic which is a nailbiter later on in life.

Why can't they mold it in solid plastic and have the windows clear?

I'd like to kill every dealer/scalper out there. They just won't let me buy back figures I sold without paying 4x or 5x higher. I get a good idea for a custom but it can't be done due to the bullshit prices.

And why the fuck, after all these years, is ebay the only place you can find this shit? As soon as the regular stores sell out there is only 1 website to go to. Out of the entire world wide web we only have 1 site to choose from. FUCKIN BULLSHIT!!!

If there was another site, they have the same bullspit setup as ebay. Money talks.

First off, chill out. There's no need for death threats or whatnot, exaggerated or not.
Secondly, have you checked the B/S/T forums here? There are MANY below eBay prices to be found with a little searching.

Picking up the curling arms (not gorilla) discussion from several pages back, yes, I too absolutely despise them, but only when the figure has 5mm ports in their hands to hold thing.

Guess what SS Bonecrusher doesn't have.

This isn't directed at anyone here but it's just a general complaint from reading random comments around the internet. It drives me bonkers when people don't buy a character for the sole reason that they don't think that the entire team is going to be made. I see and hear this constantly and I know they are going to regret it later (and they do). If it's cost prohibitive or item scarcity, that makes sense, but just because they may not do the other team members? Ludicrous. That notion has been proven wrong many times before. And then I have to hear the whining about how expensive the older figures are when they were on clearance for like a year and no one bit. Blarg.

I absolutely hate it when rolling a Transformers vehicle mode, can actually cause damage to the figure. Like, what the hell? What is the point of having working wheels on a vehicle mode, if rolling the damn thing is going to scratch the living hell out of the paint?! (Oh yeah, this also goes for transformations that can cause damage. How about that, a Transformer that's risky to transform! Brilliant!)

Also, the lack of metal rods in certain areas of more recent figures (cough Seige Ironhide's door panels cough) really gets on my nerves, as now whenever I transform these guys, pieces start falling apart! This shouldn't be happening Hasbro!

What figure gets damaged when it's rolled? Never heard that one before.

How about a rant on a store putting something like this on a peg? I don’t know if this is a return or the victim of bad bubble glue, but seriously this is just silly. At least tape it to the FRONT of the card? And good luck not ruining the rub sign when you take the tape off.
