What we need to do is get together and go to paintball. Then afterward we can compare welts over a few kegs!

"I thought it was a casino derringer, your honor. I had to shoot that boy because I was worried i might get a red mark on my skin if he shot me with it!"

Yeah! Chonk is great for the occasional robot. The Sharkticon in bot mode is pretty pudgy, too. And with his short legs, Kingdom BW Scorponok is almost there. While Grapple, Inferno, and Ironhide are pretty tall, they come across as thicc boys to me.

Ahh yes. The end of the middle of the road. Honestly, Transformers fans haven't been too bad about it, and this is coming from someone that is sometimes pretty critical of TFA and Unicron Trilogy character designs, but also a big fan of Earthrise Arcee.

The thing is, this has been going on with Walmart since the days of MP Starscream. Hasbro should know better by now not to give them exclusives.

I'm game for more Megatron jets. Tanks are good for variety, but I really hope the engineering for future ones proves to be more interesting than the WFC molds.

This is more than likely the result of how they spaced out the ROTF Constructicons. I personally found it convenient that they were spaced out because I didn't feel as rushed to buy every single member of the team as quickly as possible before they disappeared from shelves like I did with the CW combiners. Also, I apologize for being that guy, but at least y'all are getting the G1 Dinobots. Bayformer fans are still twiddling their thumbs while they wait for Hasbro to announce another AOE Dinobot.

One thing I wanted to mention was that they are releasing the Worthy Cap again as a non-exclusive in that Falcon/Cap 2-pack, so let's hope that they will do the same at some point with the bearded IW Cap.

One thing we should learn with Hasbro is to play the patience game.

They ALWAYS release the thing corrected after they made you buy it multiple times.

    Joints.

I understand that different figures were designed by different teams with different materials and budgets and so on, but you'd think Hasbro and Takara would have built up a list by now of top quality joints to use according to size, weight, location and need.

Take SS86 Grimlock and Slag. Grimlock I feel has nicely judged joints, the ratchets aren't too harsh, nothing is too tight or loose. He's fun to pose and manipulate thanks to his joints. Slag on the other hand is a lot less fun to mess with, his hip and knee joints especially are not as smooth and slick as Grimlock's.

The TR Overlord lower body has excellent hip and knee joints. They feel really really good, smooth yet strong. Why is this the only mold which features these joints?

Generations/TG/LG Springer has in my opinion one of the absolute best knee joints in all of Transformers, 1984 to now. Those tasty soft ratchets, that satisfying soft click. Why have I never encountered this knee design in another figure? It's certainly compact enough to be installed in many. SS86 Scourge is a great figure with awful knees. Why not use a pretty much perfect knee mechanism in that? Engineering costs and parts count could be offset with the mass production and implementation of these joints.

Yeah I agree on Slag.he’s probably the most disappointing leader figure for me. Compared to Grimlock he feels less sturdy, and it’s largely due to the loose joints and overly cuddly transformation. The knee joints in particular are loose, and unfortunately don’t lock in,

I have the opposite problem, my Slag's knees are way too tight. His hips as well. His entire body except for this head and ankles are too tight.

I did have a tight knee joint but I think I broke the ratchet on transformation. It’s a floppy mess now. And it was just on a normal transformation, no unnecessary force.

Ouch that's unfortunate. If he had Grimlock's knees that wouldn't have happened.

I would rather have NO Tracks on my shelf than the Kingdom one.
Easily my least favorite figure of the year. No fun whatsoever in either mode, transformation is a chore, and a stressed floppy mess all around.

I just got an email about TFCon 2022 and I remembered how miserable the last one was here. The line wasn't too bad but everything inside was priced even over eBay prices and everyone was extremely rude. This is also why I tend to make collector friends on this site rather than any random locals I meet out in the wild. The locals are kind of rabid.

Having Gnaw be an army builder… and then pack him 2 per case. I never found him at stores, I had to get him from a collector’s shop.

The fact that the new menasor is gonna be strict on limbs rather then scramble city ie i don't get to choose who becomes what limb. But thats just a small bit of my rant. My rant is whenever hasbro takes away options this community is in full favor of it. No gimicks, no limb swapping, no fun allowed!!! I really do like dragstrip but having him only as an arm (if im lucky i may get to choose which arm, oh no options, fun can't have that! have to make him only be able to be a right arm or some tf fan might lose thier shit over how i display my toy.) We might as well luck up the fan mode thread! No more of that. I hate this is the direction were going. And i hate how the community is okay with this.

It’s understandable, but with the recent push for source accuracy, this isn’t completely out of left field. The team felt that CW Menasor was hindered by scramble city, and if they think they can make a better combiner without that feature, I’m all for it. I’d rather have a solid Menasor that looks good than a Menasor that is a spindly, unstable mess like the CW one was. Also opens the door to better designed limbots.

Honestly imo, it'll only become egregious when Legacy starts to tackle other teams. For all of Combiner Wars' flaws and figure sameness the Scamble City Swapping thing was really fun, and its a shame to see it go. Especially if we start getting a bunch of teams, who can't interact in any way.

If this new Menasor is good though, I could live with the phasing out of the comboner port system and scramble city gimmick.

Rule 2 here should definitely be forced up whoever designed Kingdom Tracks, if he hasn't done it before I'd say he'd probably transform it less than 5 times in that two hours. Bonus points if he doesn't break a part of it at some point.

WFC-GS17 Optimus Prime should have come with a matching grey or a black trailer instead packed in with Rachet.
