Woohoo! Go Mark Martin! 2nd win, 11th in points (after almost dropping out of the top 35 early in the year) and he's re-upped for next year.

Quite the shock on Mayfield. They haven't revealed what he tested positive for and he's claiming it was a prescription drug mixed with an OTC. Um, yeah.

EDIT: The two crew members weren't from his team.

Haven't been happy with how Jr. has been doing lately, but Mark Martin doing well makes me happy. Would absolutely love to see him take home the Cup, as unlikely as that might be. Dude deserves it.

Hendrick is dominating the sport now. The top five are Hendrick cars well I know Stewart has his own team but they are basically Hendrick chevy's.

Anyone else notice that the 88 team hasn't ran worth a damn ever since Darian Grubb stopped setting up their cars back around August of '08? Now he's calling the shots for the #14 team and look how they are running. Darlington had 17 cautions and Baby Huey ( Eury Jr) didn't know how to tighten up a loose race car in 17 tries....just sayin...

we can all wish for Eury to go away but it wont happen anytime soon. I think its sad that if Jr. has a kickass car easily able to win a race that Eury wont keep up on the adjustments at all and theyll end up wrecking or something else atthe end because the handling of the car is so bad (Case in point Darlington although he didnt have a good car that night)

How come it won't let me vote for Cale Yarborough?

Good news, Junior fans. There's ten minute pit stops in the All Star Race. That should be just enough time for him to find the pit.

Another subpar season for Jr. I think we can all see that coming before the year even begun. He will not win a Cup ever unless he either 1) works hard and stops being so into himself with the commercials and such, and 2) get rid of Eury Jr. and get a real Crew Chief. Neither will happen soon I am afraid. His popularity is his achillies heel. It gives him false sense of accomplishment when he's done nothing to deserve such fanbase. I often feel like I've been duped by him because I was a big fan of his father. I am considering rooting for another driver after this year but picking one will be tough. Any suggestions?

I pretty much agree with everything you typed...wish he was more like his father, but he just isn't as talented. Kyle Bush reminds me a bit of Sr. on the track but he comes off as such a gigantic douche I just can't root for the guy. Maybe Tony Stewart, though he's an ass too. Damn, I'm with you, picking another driver would be difficult, though I will certainly be pulling for Mark Martin until he retires.

I got to pull for my main man Mark Martin, Kasey Kahne and David Reuitman. I like Reuitman because he is the underdog. I actually think mark could win at charolette either tonight or next sunday.

Looks like Eury may be on his way out of Henrick. Too late to save Junior's season though.

I hope they do replace him with someone that can get shit going over there, what a dreadful end to last season and beginning to this one. There's plenty of racing left before the chase, so he's still got an outside chance to make the chase, but if they don't do something soon it really will be too late.
