Spring training 2008. Hope "springs" a new! Who is going to be World Series victors this year? Will the Yankees ever do anything amazing with that ridiculous payroll? Will the Nationals be anything other than a NL joke?

    Continue discussion here!

    Goodbye 2.0!

Personally I want to see the Yanks go on a fire sale, and rebuild slowly. I think that may make me a fan again. Go a head, spend a few years at the bottom, I don't care. It would make it all the more fun to see them rise, without the bloated contracts.

Not without Chavez and Crosby they can't! They're already out with bad backs!

I'm glad there's a new thread. The other one was beginning to wreak too much of 'roids talk.

I'm actually kinda glad they're out. I hope the new kids can hit better than those two.

    Don't hate because we're TRUE FANS! :p

The AL West is pretty much won by the Angels already. I simply cannot fathom how sick their team is.

Hopefully the Pirates can (hehe) finish over .500 (haha) for the first time in 16 years (hehehe) or even (hahaha) win the division (bwahahahahaha!)

Oh man, I can't even type that with a straight face. Here's to a record-breaking 16th consecutive losing season! (clinks glasses, glasses explode dealing untold amount of hand lacerations)

Or it can be named "The bitch at Crosby and Chavez thread." :p

Personally for me, Crosby's got a big bullseye on his back this season.

    All aboard the Buck/Gonzalez bandwagon!

I have high hopes for the Sox, should be contenders. Hopefully Colon can get himself in shape and help the team down the stretch.

I can't wait to watch baseball on TV again. I really hate the time in between end of football and beginning of baseball.

They did that already by abandoning Vero Beach. Fuckin' Murdoch.

Actually, it should be Fuckin' McCourt since Murdoch sold the team to Frank McCourt about 4 or 5 years ago.

I've always wanted to go to Dodgertown but Vero Beach is alot farther than Tempe, AZ. I think that's why the move is happening. Having lived in Brooklyn for about 2 years, I can definitely say that the number of east coast Dodger fans is miniscule, and to be honest, I don't blame them. From a practical point of view, the Dodgers fanbase is out west, so it would make sense for them to have spring training out west, closer to home.

Heh, me too. Did we ever decide who's going to play CF? What's the story with Encarnacion? I know he got hurt late last year, but I haven't heard anything else other than that.

    Otherwise, go Braves!

The Dodgers have been the sleeping giant of baseball for 20 years now. When you don't win for that long a time period, people out east forget about you and thus you have no east coast fans.

If Torre can get them winning on into the postseason, they'll start getting the mega-coverage because it's L.A.
