Nasty hit and he should be suspended more than 10 games for that.

Tim Thomas is still undefeated in preseason. And Carey Price is still winless. Ha!

Hawks are thinking about trying Kane out at center for a preseason game or two. Hopefully it works out seeing as how he played center most of his career.

After 25 years of being a fan, and 15+ years being a partial plan holder, this year I dove into Season Tickets.

On Sunday they held the season ticket holder BBQ at the arena. Got meet and greets with almost all the players.

2011 1st round draft pick (#4 overall) Adam Larsson

Zach Parise after coming back from contract negotiations with Lou Lamoriello, needed a 2nd job...

And my personal god, the man behind it all for the last 25 years, Lou Lamoriello

It was an awesome time. Everyone was very nice!

I understand where Shanny's coming from. Between the headshots, this awful offseason with the deaths of some well known "tough guys", and everything else.

A blow to the head is a blow to the head. Be it going into the boards, crosschecked in the head, or having a fist repeatedly punched into your head.

Don't get me wrong, I like watching a good hockey fight as much as anyone else, but if taking it out can help save careers, lives, and keep people healthy, then I'm not against fighting being taken out of the sport.

Dude Marty Brodeur is easily the greatest goalie of all time. PS. I wish he was a Flyer instead. :lol

Oh, no doubt on the greatest of all time. The sheer amount of records he holds seals that deal.

We can discuss this more in person in a week! See you at NJCC! (I hope!)

Some fans believe if they get rid of that instigator rule, it might solve half of the problems and let the teams police themselves.

My Panthers shutout the Islanders tonight, but it was only the Islanders.

I know it would be different if the Panthers were playing against Boston, Tampa, Washington or Pittsburgh.

I think it was bullshit for Upshall to get ejected for a loose jersey.

Matt Cooke just left for the locker room after taking an elbow to the head. Yeah, that Matt Cooke. Must be opposite day.

Awesome. It's been a blast being a Blackhawks season ticket holder going on 3 years now. They've had some fantastic events. Top of the list was the Lord Stanley private photo event. But each year they do a Presidents Day road watch at the United Center where everything is $1 except beer and they give tours of the entire arena. And for the first time, I will be attending the Christmas Party at Navy Pier with meet and greets with players. But the best thing is the inside link to the organization. I have gotten tons of personal and business stuff taken care of just by being a STH. Kudos.

Maybe and I do mean maybe, we can swap going to games if ever in our respective areas.

After watching both games, your goalie is the only reason you have a team. Somewhere in the second, the Hawks had 3 goals and the Stars had 4 shots. That's terrible.

It's past 3 AM Eastern and I'm still pissed about the Sabres' embarrassing loss to Carolina. It was only a one goal game, but aside from those 5 minutes in the first period, they played horribly, not to take away from Cam Ward's great night (39 saves, I think?).

I was eagerly anticipating their first game at home of the season especially after seeing how well they played the two games in Europe. Instead, 0-6 on the PP, and allowed 2 shorties (almost 3, but it hit the post or crossbar).

Miller looked bad on every goal. Ehrhoff was weak on the puck on all those power plays, and when he did fire that cannon, he missed by a mile. Vanek was simultaneously their best and worst forward scoring in the first, but coughing up the puck on both short-handed goals against and taking a lazy tripping call that resulted in Skinner's game winner. Some of the guys spent the better part of the second period chasing Allen for that hit on Pominville instead of focusing on the game. Yikes. Onto Pittsburgh...

EDIT: Forgot to mention Carolina blocked 17 shots. That's pretty phenomenal. C'mon Sabres, get pissed and take it out on Lemieux's boys Saturday night!
