I’m not expecting BB level quality with this. But I’m hoping for something slightly below BB quality or just something that’s enjoyablely not bad.

I don't think that's part of an attack, that's either Bumblebee's spark being released when he dies or has something to do with the time travel/warping that is possibly happening.

TFWiki was the only ones to report the goatee on fire. See that they say "might" as in they weren't sure. We heard from others that the render of Scourge they saw was the robot mode in a shadow. Since they couldn't see clearly, they might have thought they saw a flaming beard even though it wasn't really there.

Rewatch the sequence in slow motion 4K. Seems to just be Scourge pumping Bee with an ungodly amount of electricity. Also helps to zoom in while you’re watching frame by frame.

Just watched it and yup that’s what it was.

I used Giphy to make it and I don’t know how to slow it down so my bad.

 

My main point is that optimus is too small. And that's one of many issues I had with the trailer.

 

Maybe Scourge is responsible for the lights flickering on Brooklyn Bridge, possibly even the lightning in the background as well? Maybe he could be a Prime turned bad.

 

That is very possible and would be a reason why it’s just him alone driving on the bridge. Because this is after the battle with Scourge.

 

I mean, I like a bigger Prime too, don’t get me wrong, but I feel like this variant’s height is the least of his issues. Especially since 22 feet still has him towering over humans and car bots. The real issues with him, in my personal opinion, are his proportions and weird mouth chin.

Makes Scourge look really similar to The Fallen with these godlike powers, design aesthetic is quite similar as well.

I think it's before, to try and intimidate Prime. Maybe Bumblebee gets captured, Scourge sets a trap, which is why we see him with Prime before Bee tries to sneak up on him.

I'm gonna assume Battletrap is Bee's prison guard, and maybe he escapes and then Battletrap catches up which is why we see him in the latter shot.

 

That’s possible. Or just Bee comes to help Prime out and that’s how he ends up getting stabbed.
