My brother in Christ, unfortunately sometimes movies do not improve in quality from what trailers show. It is still entirely possible this movie has poor cg when it releases.

The quality of the materials though, the texture, the lighting, the detail. It's so much worse than its ever been. Yeah, trailers in the past have looked worse than final release but never like this.

    I lole
Yeah her design is really cool, not complaining about the design itself.

I had a feeling when I first read that that it was that movie figure character that Hasbro came out with years ago. Wonder what his robot design will look like? Or we may just see him in plane mode. . .

The CGI looks very cartoony, which I assume is on purpose. Will definitely need some polishing up though. I also think it looks so jarring to us because the Bay films had groundbreaking CGI which still looks flawless today. Still, AOE had wonky trailer effects so I'm sure it'll get touched up.

If Wheeljack looks more like Que I hope they do his G1 body like a form of Apex Armor. That would be dope story for a frail warrior who wants to participate so he built armor.

ViewerAnon has heard good things about the movie so who the hell knows. He did say he’s heard it’s in continuity with Michael Bay’s films…

Well, that's what people wanted after all the complains of the Bay movies not doing the G1 designs

CGI looks fine to me, I think many people seem a bit too obsessed with 'graphics' and not things like Plot, Characterisation, Emotional resonance, etc. Who cares if the CGI is ultra detailed and amazingly perfect if it's in service of 'The Last Knight'?

Myself i'd prefer wonkier CGI if it meant more and better Robot characterisation and interaction.

You are part of the problem. You can have good story, action, etc, AND good cg. Wtf? Why would you, as a consumer, be okay with seeing a film with poor cg? What?

These are CG characters and even if all the other stuff are good in the movie. If the CG on the characters the movie is named after are not improved,it will be distracting for many people.

I loved it, yes the cg is rough, A. new team working on it, B. still 6 months out from premier, calm down it will be fixed.

This almost definitely won't be in the Bayverse, it makes no sense, if anything, than it will be a complete reboot, even from Bumblebee. I think Bumblebee was the beginning of a new continuity that this is set in.

The bay elements, it's obvious that the team took what worked and brought it over, combining it with what worked from BB. Prime's mouth, yes I prefer no mouth but it makes sense as general audiences are used to that and it worked in bay 1-3, the swords, it's just cool for Prime to have swords right? No one complained when he had swords in Prime so why complain here. They are simply taking the best of the best.

I love that the Maximals have simple transformations, it makes sense as they have simple alt modes.

The Terrorcons, Battletrap being in the final battle is a good sign that he won't be a throw away character, need to see Nightbird proper but cool that she can fly now. Scourge looks good, need to see more of him, hoping that his helmet retracts as well as it looks too squared off for my tastes. I think I was just shocked to see how skinny he was, thought he would be more beefy, not a complaint.

Loving the Autobot designs. Just hoping that Wheeljack looks good when we see him.

How could this possibly be in continuity with the Bay films? And what is even the point of trying to draw a connection between the two? You'd have to try and write your way around The Last Knight just to get it to be slightly serviceable.
