Being pushed back a year doesn’t necessarily mean it has been worked on for a full extra year. The footage likely got shelved. They were just recently getting voice lines from the looks of it.

I really like Mirage's movements during the transformation. This generally unremarkable thing gives such a pleasant feeling, a feeling of liveliness.

What happened to CGI? I feel like it peaked from 2005 to around 2011 and then slowly got worse over time in most big films, Bumblebee had great CGI though but that felt like an exception, as TLK CGI wasn't good.

Unfinished plus the bad quality of that posts which makes it look even worse. CGIs for movies like these take some time so..

It's looks good to me. I'd say cgi got worse because of what we see today that's mostly marvel and dc and the cgi has been shit.

However bad the movies have been, we have always had great CGI. Hope to see this continue.

Don't judge CGI by terrible frame rate that both Twitter and YouTube have.

Nah, Mirage doesn't look like he's actually there. You can tell he's an animated thing just placed on top of a scene, compare that or TLK or an MCU film to Transformers 2007 where they look like they're actually there in the world, they blend in, Davy Jones in Pirates of The Carribean and General Greivous in ROTS are other examples of insane CGI from well over a decade ago that still look more real than what we get today.

Now this trailer could just be unfinished CGI but the film was delayed a year so I dunno. I hope its unfinished, I remember Age of Extinction CGI was better in the final film than the trailers

    **POSSIBLE
    **

Given a quote from a certain deceased New York rapper's song, and the fact it came out the same year this movie is set in, this might be legit. . .

And obviously, we all know it was fully worked on and even completed during that entire delay period, all paid for by the Infinite Money Printer Paramount and Hasbro have in the back of their shared wealth vault

I don't know where people get the ''we always had great CG'' thing all of a sudden. Bumblebee was great, but both AOE and TLK had horseshit CGI compared to the original trilogy.
