Haven’t we’ve seen this already? This was quoted a million times, although I never saw the original wording.

 

I think that mirage will be a lot like blaster from the marvel comics in which he was a rebellious loner.

I don’t really recall any other sites mentioning that mirage can change shape and iirc the announcement post for RoTB on this site stated that they weren’t sure if the produces meant that mirage changes shape in this movie or throughout the continuities.

If this is the case, though, I'm thinking rather than being like DOTM Laserbeak with umpteen altmodes, Mirage just uses his hologram ability to disguise himself as something else temporarily.
