Yeah, people don't need to like those scenes in DotM and AoE, but it's undeniable DotM and AoE had less of that type of humor that all of the "super serious" fans and critics complained about so much in 2007 and especially RotF.

Not to mention that I always found getting upset about super short scenes, like a lot of these jokes are, super dumb. Stuff like Sam's mom getting high and running amuck, I can kinda understand. The Romeo and Juliet scene, I understand to a point. But then there's some stuff like Devastator's wrecking balls; that's like a 10 second sight gag dumb though it might be. If that really ruins a 2 and a half hour movie for you then i'm not sure what to tell ya lol.

If you don't like the humor in these movies that's fine. But most of it is pretty short and cut down on by at least the 3rd and 4th entries, with even TLK not being too bad about it either.

Agreed. I would say any of those are very tiny things for 2 and half hour-long movies. None of them are major plot points or long duration. At worst, if I hated them that much, they might knock half a point of the movie for me, but they wouldn't ruin the movie all by themselves. Not every creative decision in the movies is 100% perfection, but nothing in the Bay movies is a brand-ruining abomination either. The worst things in Transformers are merely, "Meh."

Huhh. Bee seems like to get some inspiration from TFP and Bayverse.

Romeo and Juliet gets brought up all the time because it's literally such a bad scene that it's all people really remember about the film as a result of the uncomfortable subject that half a braincell could have foreseen and removed had the film not likely been rushed due to a focus change late in production to pander to the Chinese box office (we know the original plot of AoE had Lockdown but was a completely different thing involving Decepticons proper), which is really the only explanation for why it seemingly never got so much as a single in-depth editing pass. It's representative of how AoE as a whole is a poorly contrived mess that has terrible plot pacing (isn't there that one scene where everything just seems to come to a screeching halt just for a gag about Yeager getting a soda can that rolled out from a crashed semi trailer or something?) and has a plot entirely reliant on things that nobody ever had any intention on actually explaining at the time the film was actually written.

And the problem is that even though the scene itself is short, it paints the whole bit about the dad not being okay with his daughter's relationship - a main theme of the movie IIRC - in a really bad light with that association. As you point out, the whole Deep Wang thing is short and then the character literally gets thrown out a window shortly afterward and is never brought up again. The whole 'enemy scrotum' joke, which itself really raises eyebrows (they got permission to film on the pyramids just for a joke about robot genitals?), is short and is never brought up again, with Devestator getting killed with the railgun shot not long after. All the characters in the R and J card scene are, and correct me if I'm wrong here, still alive by the end of the film.

I wonder if Mirage will also have a big presence in marketing since he is the kid appeal character. Obvious answer is yes, but I would like to see how he used for marketing purposes aside from trailers.

Since the movie was suppose to be released this month before the delay. I assume some businesses might be going ahead and sell some rise of the beasts merchandise.

I'm glad Bee's chest is a little more refined than at the end of Bumblebee

It is kind of suspect how even in this tangential side material merch, there's a complete absence of any new characters. Its like they didn't learn a damn thing from how this bit them in the ass back with DOTM.

Were his shoulders that pointed (basically transplanted wholesale from the Bayverse design) at the end of the BB movie? Those things are really throwing the whole design off for me.

And not a single goddamn Predacon symbol to be seen. Just like Scourge's grille.

The Bumblebee design is the perfect blend between Bayverse and BB movie aesthetic.

Well... That's certainly Bumblebee and Optimus Prime.
