What are you trying to do to poor Scott, do you want to give him a complex? I mean, a worse complex than what he already has. You know what, not sure that's possible, it's fine.

To represent the evil clone of his dead wife that seduced his brother! I think you're underselling it a bit

Is Marvel clear on Phoenix replacing Jean?

I mean, that WAS the retcon.

But then the Phoenix Force had a bunch of hosts for 30 years without replacing them and Jean became Phoenix "again" like five times, implying she'd been Phoenix before.

I think the "real Jean being at the bottom the lake while Phoenix impersonated her" retcon has thoroughly been retconned by a half dozen writers who ignored it.

Yeah, pretty sure the old retcon was retconed at some point. It was stupid anyway to separate Jean from the Phoenix but that has more to do with the shitty editor-in-chief at Marvel insisting that Jean neded to "pay for her crimes" and then another editor-in-chief greenlighting her return years later.

There's no way to talk about Jean Grey and the Phoenix without looking like this.

Yeah, in the recent AXE Judgement, Jean failed her judgement because of all the people Phoenix killed.

I don't think so, the mystery figure looks like a man. Based on the color scheme, I've heard speculation of Bill Foster Goliath.

So it is not Monica because she wasnt in a what if but I cant be bill foster either for the same reason.
    The mystery remains

He never even showed up in the MCU as his Goliath persona. If that is the BAF for that wave, that’d be one of the dumbest decisions I’ve ever seen from Hasbro

The new wave is teasing What If...? Season 2 stuff.

I can definitely see them incorporating Bill Foster somewhere there because it's one of the more obvious things an alternate universe can do based on the MCU, aside from zombies or Maria Rambeau Captain Marvel.

There aren't THAT many roads not taken for the MCU and they're already delving into questions nobody was asking like T'Challa Starlord (my second favorite episode, mind you), space Iron Man, and 1602.

The Antman mythology for the MCU is actually capable of supporting some What Ifs...? that actually imagine a slight change snowballing, like a classic What If...? You can get Bill Foster Goliath, a Hank and Janet who never retired/disappeared, a Yellowjacket who succeeded.

Outside of that, what kind of options lend themselves to a costume change? Captain America never frozen, maybe. A Spider-Man who took Cap's side in Civil War. Betty Ross as the Hulk. Quicksilver who didn't die. Isiah Bradley Cap.

The options feel more constrained than the comics. Bill Foster Goliath doesn't take a huge leap to become a founding Avenger. He just had to keep doing it.

Does anyone know if the skirt on retro Daredevil (Elektra) is connected to the belt? Needing one of those red skirt pieces for a custom/kitbash I'm thinking about doing and she seems to be the most readily available figure that has one currently.

Went to a local toy comic book show, Sac Comic Con in Sacramento yesterday. Got my SDCC 2008 Marvel Legends Savage Land set signed by artist Frank Cho there. Now I really need a modern update from Hasbro since I won't be opening this anymore.

The only other thing I bought from the show was this pencil drawing of Serpent Society member Coachwhip by the late artist Tony DeZuniga. The seller also had a Black Racer (another Serpent Society member) drawing by Tony but just as I was coming back to buy it after thinking about it he told me someone else picked it up right before me :(  Hopefully we'll get these two snake ladies in Marvel Legends soon!

    Great work!

Speaking of comics, I find it interesting they've pretty much turned blue Beast into Dark Beast now, minus the gray...
