Got my Yondu preorder in, and threw in one for a Tracksuit Mafia guy for the hell of it. It's not quite comic-accurate but I can use the masked face as a random Tracksuit goon I guess.

 

Crazy that Yondu is just $25 when other exclusives have been running more.

Now we just need Charlie-27 and Martinex for the first* appearance team.

* Hasbro is calling these their first appearance looks. They didn't really have costumes in their first appearance in 1969. These are second appearance looks.

Still has pins at the knees and elbows. Doesn't have a tiny Wasp this time. Does have extra hands this time. Shorts are shorter this time and the helmet has less bling. Edit: but new head sculpt.

 

While not buying any, the track suit figure should if been a two pack for $34.99, $28 for one figure with three heads is ridiculous.

Hmm. Thankfully I like the Retro release I've already got. Cool for those that want a classic look that missed the Retro version though.

 

Maybe if they had done it as a Pulse exclusive like the SHIELD pack. I think the closer point of comparison is the Walgreen's exclusive Dani Moonstar, which was packaged traditionally rather than in the two-color army builder boxes.

 

These don't do much for me. Maybe catch them on sale.

 

Threw in a preorder for this guy too. I like that he looks better proportioned; the Pizza Spidey body(?) made the Retro Ant-Man & Black Ant pretty lanky. The suit's still more later 60s/70s Hank & Scott vs early 60s initial appearances Hank (different belt, black on his upper torso was more of a V branching up from his chest instead of a collar-type thing here). Maybe there's still room for another (pinless?) classic Hank Ant-Man, say as part of a two-pack with 60s Wasp. Anyways, I guess I can still use the Retro release as 1st appearance Scott on my First Appearance shelf and this new one as Hank.

 

Very pleasantly surprised by today's reveals, still don't care about comic Yondu but that Ant-Man is beautiful! Definitely upgrading the retro one in my Avengers display. And the tracksuit mafia was very out of left field but I'm not gonna say no to more MCU figures, especially since one of the heads is a main character. The $3 price hike is annoying but it's fine, I ordered 2 and I'll get more if they go on sale.
