I'm still seeing the pink as just highlights while his body is actually white in those shots though. I guess it's because I'm used to seeing silver highlights on Storm's black outfit, and black highlights on her silver one, blule highlights on Morbius's black outright, black highlights on Ghost Rider's blue, etc.
I hear you, but by that logic, Colossus should be white too. He's colored in the exact same fashion (white highlights in the center, color/ink shading on the edges), just with a different color. Yet we all know his base color is bluish-gray metal, not white. Thus it's pretty reasonable to think nimrod is naturally a pinkish color. Obviously YMMV, but I think your view is skewed by the 'toon. And the toon doesn't negate thinking he needs a recolor, as I can't imagine I'm the only comic fan that would like one to match his early comic appearances. That ain't no white robot.
I always felt Nimrod was translucent pink. The way he is shaded, it is almost as if he is made out of glass or quartz crystal. It would almost make sense if he was made out of some funky stuff, because he is kinda like the T-1000 in a way?
I do expect we'll get a pink recolor of Nimrod at some point. Especially seeing as they did include an alt head that looks closer to the og design.
He was in an episode of X-Men and lured Magneto, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch up to his mountain fortress by claiming Magneto's wife was alive. Wolverine and Beast got pulled into it because Professor X thought somebody was luring Magneto into a trap. That's what I thought too, some sort of crystal.
Are the hat or glasses removable from either Moira head? I know the retro MJ head fits but I wasn't going for Rachel Summers specifically...
Exactly my thoughts... which is why I suggested a pink translucent rerelease. Yeah, I imagine him made of some sort of energy crystals or something, as all of his OG details look like gem cuts, very rigid and geometric.
I didn't notice before I got the figure delivered, did they actually get Spiral creator Art Adams to do the box art for her? The face seems a little like his modern style.
Finally taking a picture of my Black Knight and Sersi after a couple years. And close enough in time to see Hasbro make their own later this year.
That's a shame. I do remember when Frank Cho and others were actively doing box art for those 4 inch Marvel Legends figures a decade ago.
