From what I understand, they may have been shelved because creators were entitled to some kind of payment if they were adapted. I think Lord Pumpkin somehow slipped into some comics after that?
I got an email from Target this morning saying the release date for my Pre-order for that wave moved to that Feb 5, but the app says it'll deliver by the 10th.
I thought that for years as well, but I learned differently a few years ago from a Ultraverse group on FB that has the founders of Malibu comics in it. There I found out that was just a rumor and Marvel owns the characters free and clear, so they just choose to keep the characters shelved for no reason.
That... somehow makes it even worse. Like, I don't like it but from a business standpoint, you can understand if they don't want to pay royalties. It's bullshit, but it's pretty standard corporate nonsense. But to hear that they're just keeping them shelved just because? Wow. It's like they bought them just so they could kill some of their competition.
And to make it worse the only reason that Marvel bought them was because DC Comics was in negations to purchase Malibu.
They bought them for their color process. The world was such a a steaming heap of shit even by 90s standards that it remains where it should, dead and forgotten
At least it is a Target exclusive at $24.99 and not $32.99. Edit: although the old $22.99 that I still see in stores would be even nicer.
Thought I’d ask here in case someone might have some insight. So I’m looking into using a matte sealer after I finish with all the paint for my custom Madelyne Pryor. Was wondering if anyone has any experience with them (ie mod podge etc) and if there’s any brand you particularly like/prefer? Mostly looking into sealers to prevent paint chipping (mostly with that lower torso joint and thigh chafing). How well does the sealer work to prevent paint chipping there? Any insight would be much appreciated. Thank you!
I use Testors Dullcoat and Mr Hobby matte coats. Both work great and easily available. Hobby Lobby carries both brands.
Awesome will definitely look into those recommendations! When you use those sealers does it help prevent the paint from coming off if you scrape it with your nail? Some paints I use tend to scrape off if I scratch at the surface (not that hard) and was wondering if using sealers like those help with that?

The most liked reply was for a deluxe armor. So fingers crossed, but I feel like that’s more wishful thinking (although they have started doing astonishing x men sooo)
Armor would be pretty awesome. I just wonder how they would work the articulation out so the inner figure doesn't completely hamper the movement of the armor shell.
I don't know what constitutes a deluxe figure but if I were to take a shot in the dark an armored Psylocke would be pretty sweet!
